somebody been drankin'
"Whenever I see those crimson jerseys and crimson helmets, I feel humbled to have played football for Alabama. Other players in the NFL talk to me about their schools and their traditions. I just smile knowing the immense love Alabama fans have for our school and its football program. I'm proud to be a part of that Crimson Tide heritage."

Buy all you want, I just laugh at those buying because they think Obama is coming for them. How many times are you guys going to be fooled by the gun lobby?

its smarter to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it. plus im pretty sure all that money is helping their local economies as well as keeping american jobs secure. not seeing much downside to it really.

Can't argue with that, though I'm generally a fan of fewer guns than more guns. But I believe the downside is in the attitude and reasoning behind the surge in sales. People do not see a bright future, and while this might help the sale of gun, ammo, and canned goods, it hurts elsewhere like investing.

It is just a sign of the times. More people than ever on Social Security and retirement. The most people ever on some type of relief program weather it is Housing Assistance, Food Stamps, Welfare, Milk and Cheese, Public Assistance, Free breakfast and lunch programs at school, food bank recipients etc.
It has gotten to the point of less jobs, high unemployment or no employment, more crime, more thefts, costs are going up on everything because of the fuel costs in transportation. Diesel is 30 cents a gallon more expensive than gasoline and 90% of all goods in the USA are shipped by freight, train, boat, or 18 wheeler all using diesel.
A lot of people really felt vulnerable after Hurricane Sandy because of the gun laws in place in their State or City. They are sitting there unprepared with a chunk of plastic cellphone that doesn't work, an overloaded 911 system, no electricity, no water, no telephone, having to sit in the dark and their weapon is broomstick or kitchen knife. And they have to wait 7, 10 or 30 days to buy a gun, take mandatory training, register their weapon and its location with the local and state police.
This is no longer a situation that is going to be solved over nite. We have gotten to the point of Bold daytime robberies, homelessness, squatters in vacant houses, people robbing just to eat because their benefits ran out a long time ago and they are desperate. Be a Victim or defend yourself, that is your choice. Some of us have chosen to Protect our family, Protect our Lives and Protect our property and not be dependent on other people to do it for us.

With 1 daughter still in college and her looking at Grad school next year I wish I had more to invest in my own retirement.

I'll admit I have become hesitant to invest. Doesn't really have to do with our president rather than congress and the cliff.

Don't feel sorry for any Americans at the present time....we have dug our own hole. Guns, heck yes people are going after them....you see what is happening in Europe and it is on our way here. Guns and violence is next for Mr. Obama is his socialist agenda that is going to be the end for the life as we know now in America. Enjoy it while it last boys.

You know the Congress is going to deadlock a lame duck President who hasn't put forth a budget in 4 years and didn't reduce the deficit enough and we got downgraded. The Cliff in Jan. will degrade our credit and bond rating again because we will raise the debt limit, print more money, devaluating our Dollar even more causing more financial grief and more money on our interest payments of our debt.
16 trillion and counting with an avg debt around 50k for every man woman and child in the USA.

The Unemployment in Greece is 25%, the EU countries avg. unemployment rate is over 11 and Central America is around 22%. With our current economic situation here we don't have the money to bail anyone out. To many people hurting here in the USA to support people who hate us, they can just hate us for free.

Just adds another layer to the investment. Guns and ammo are an investment commodity. Local gun shop owners are small business owners and do invest at the local level. In the 90s when I was a customer at this shop it had 1full time and 3 very part time folks. Now its at 4 full timers and 2 very very limited part timers. I moved from 84 hours every 2 weeks to 108 every 2 weeks. We buy alot of pruduct from small b. Range ammo from Atlanta, holsters from Atlanta, alot of the rest from Columbia SC. The owner and employees dont sit on money either.

Unemployment in America is going to 9 and maybe 10 real soon. We will get real close to that 11 average real soon....but who cares, 50% of Americans proved that don't this past Tuesday.

Just my two cents....really not worth discussing anymore! America is really scary right now and most people have no faith at all in our leaders to lead or our country. We've made our bed, now we have to lay in it. Enjoy it while it last boys.

I bought my 1911 today. Where can I order .45 ammo for the best price? What kind of bulk do you need to order for it to actually be feasible to order instead of just buy from the local gun store?
