Because humans have so much self control over themselves.  Do you think drinking and driving should be legal?

wtf? no?

drinking a beer doesnt harm anyone other than the person drinking the beer. it should be legal.
smoking a bowl doesnt harm anyone other than the person smoking the bowl. it should be legal.

driving while intoxicated harms other people. it should be illegal.

did the philosophical difference go over your head?

by your logic, i shouldnt be allowed to get married bc i might kill my wife.

youre a fan of the government telling us what we can and cant do arent you :)

no I'm really not.  I'd like the government to :lanekiffin: off to be honest. A good alcohol buzz makes you feel good; is this really any different?

Abuse is the biggest worry to have regarding this; is it any different with alcohol?

hey tax the shit out of it and toke up lazy bones!

you're an idiot. smoking weed is not a symptom of being lazy. have you ever considered the option that the dude working his ass off underground in a refinery buried in dust the consistency of flour as it creeps into his ass crack and under his toe nails for 12 hours per day might like to take a bong hit when he gets home just to take his mind off how shitty his job is for a few hours? if he were to say enough is enough and quit the job and find a way to fund night school and work himself into a desk job as he struggles not to collapse under the pressure of fulfilling his promise of giving his wife a better life, that dude can enjoy the brief feeling of joy the occasional bong hit can give him without me piling onto his back with my demands of how i want him to live his life. but go ahead, liberals love to impose their way of life on everyone else while throwing vein popping temper tantrums about the churchs influence on politicians.

im not a republican, but the reason i dont think i could ever be a democrat is i refuse to be associated which such an arrogant and condescending group of people that think they are better educated and better qualified at living in general.

Everything is better when youre some type of high man.  Whatever you have to do to make your life seem fun.  After weed its shrooms, then molly/coke, the dxm.  I guess I would need to be on drugs too if I were from Arkansas.

ok i may have misjudged you there rather harshly... however i would recommend becoming more educated about weed. its not one of those drugs that really does damage or can be classified as an abusive drug. the emergency rooms arent treating people overdosing on it and it isnt leading people to commit violent crimes. its biggest drawback is perpetual peace and tolerance.

Maybe if the guy were to get a better education instead of smoking weed he'd have a better job.  Also, if he wanted to provide a better life for his wife, he might want to stop buying the 60 dollar eigths and save that cash.

most highs amplify your current mood, not alter it. if youre already sad or depressed most drugs will amplify it and really cause problems. there are exceptions though. yes i need pot the 4 times per year i smoke it because my life in arkansas is so unbearable. how did you figure it out?

Alcohol is the biggest gateway drug of all and it is legal and encouraged by our society.

do you have any idea how many college kids are smoking weed while getting a good education? do you have any thoughts of your own or are you stuck perpetually regurgitating the things you've heard professors say? never mind, your last comment was so stupid im convinced it was one of your originals.

at this point i think its important to note that every argument youve presented has been fallacious.
