I want bj leading off to start the season. Maybe move to Simmons after the all star break depending on how things are going

Prado at 10 MM per season isn't worth it if he isn't playing 2B every day. As a 3B or LF you can get the same defense and similar hitting from plenty of players.
I really like our lineup, when McCann gets back... 2-8 in the lineup will be absolutely stellar and balanced.... And will K a ton. I saw on ESPN though where Fredi plans on hitting Heyward, Upton, Upton then filling out the rest of the lineup.... I really would like to see Freeman higher, he is a really good hitter and probably doesn't need to be losing at bats to BJ Upton.....

Anyone else worried that Simmons might falter in the leadoff role? (don't stone me, Tider)
He doesn't have much MLB experience with the bat and we are moving him from the lowest-pressure spot (8th) up to one of the highest-pressure spots.
I guess we could always tinker with it if it doesn't work. Realistically, I'd like to see BJ get his walk % back to where it was in 10-11 and get that OBP back up into the .330s and have him lead off, with Heyward second and Justin third.

Certainly think he might struggle, that's a very tough role to fill with little experience.
BJ in the lead off would be a great start to the season, I foresee a lot of experimenting at the top either way. Our natural 3-hole hitter of nearly 20 years is gone, so I expect it at least.

count me in as another one of those who absolutely loved John Rocker as a kid. Too bad he turned out to be kind of a lunatic.

if you have a few minutes, check this out. Pretty interesting stuff.
The thing about the Rocker situation,
Was he dumb and being a bigot for saying those words? Yes. But people need to realize that not everyone is a good person. Not everyone is tolerant and its that persons right to be intolerant. Nowhere in law does it say I have to accept with open arms; blacks, Jews, Hispanics, gays, Asians, etc.
Another thing is no one would have given two shots had this guy been bagging groceries instead of playing baseball. Suddenly it's a story when a celeb does it.
And to the guy who said pro athletes need to be good, moral people.
Babe Ruth, was not a good person.
Ty Cobb, was not a good person.
Pete Rose, was not a good person.
