LEGENDARY

As a Georgia fan..I couldn't be happier about what happened in Jacksonville today.

I love talking smack to everyone (even my fellow Georgia fans) but sometimes we need to pull together as a Conference......and yes I mean y'all as well Missouri.

Marcus Lattimore is a class act and has been since setting foot on campus in Columbia.  It looked like he may have played his last down in the SEC today and maybe his last ever.  It looked real bad on TV but we should all hope it is not as bad as it seemed.

What makes the SEC so great is that we have the best players in the country on the field.  Sometimes great players come to our school and sometimes they go to other schools but we should always hope that every kid from every school stays healthy.

GOD help Marcus Lattimore and bring him healing!

Tennessee's #24 with that headshot to the inside of the extended right leg and knee probably sent him straight to the top of the "Hits List" or "Most Wanted" Someday someone will lay his asz out and whisper "Marcus" in his ear, Karma is a bitch like that.

Prayers sent to Marcus and his Doctors who hands hopefully have the power to heal this young man.

Come on man, it wasn't a cheap shot, injuries happen.  Both teams gathered around Marcus before they took him off the field to wish him well.  I don't think there are any hard feelings.

it was a tackling technique that is taught to kids starting in Pee Wee ball
my son does the same to opposing RBs out weighing him expotentially and is what he is taught to do.
nothing dirty about it
unfortunate, yes... dirty no way in hell.

Didn't say it was cheap shot, it's Football, and there are hits that can end a season or a career. No flag was thrown, it wasn't illegal. But it is one of those hits that people tend not to forget and will be on the internet forever. And Karma is a bitch.

It wasn't a dirty hit. It sucks that that's a thing that's generally accepted, but it's football. It pisses me off that assholes like Matthieu and Dyer are gonna get a million chances and keep pissing them away, and Marcus can't catch a break. But, it's not what you're dealt in life, but what you do with it, that matters the most. Marcus has a winners mentality and a work ethic that will no doubt lead him to success, even if he never plays another down of football.

We need to retire his jersey.

I absolutely agree, if he's done playing, #21 should be retired. (Holloman should be allowed to play out his eligibility, though)

I was proud of the Vols for showing such class today.  It clearly speaks to  the kind of young man Lattimore is, a player that every team in the country would love to have both for the talent that he displays on the field and the character that he shows off it.

I agree but I don't think you can retire a number in college. I could be wrong but if anyone deserves it, its him.
