You heard it here first.... He is the perfect hire for Tennessee, IMO.
He has built TCU into quite the contender (Record of 114–32) including two BCS bowl games.
DEFENSE, DEFENSE, DEFENSE, he has always had top 15/25 defenses... He has had pretty potent offenses aswell with his run oriented spread offense.
This guy is a win NOW hire..

He'd be a great hire for any SEC team, but could an SEC team pry him from TCU? Patterson always struck me as one of those Chris Peterson types, ie he's happy where he's at and he isn't so much in it for the money/prestige/job upgrades.

Don't think he leaves TCU. He wouldn't leave when they were MWC. Why would he go now that they're in the B12? TCU has plenty of money to keep him. Plus he doesn't have the pressures of being at Tennessee and facing the SEC. He's always seemed to be afraid of a challenge. A giant pussy. Which is why TCU dropped Ole Miss back when Snead was the shit and was preseason #4 in the nation.

Patterson runs a charity based out of Fort Worth. Regardless, we have our coach.

I just don't see him tied down to TCU with his history.. He has been there for 12 years and if there is ever any chance he makes the jump to SEC country this might be the year...
UT fans are selling themselves extremely short if they think TCU to Tennessee is a lateral move.. He has accomplished everything he possibly could at TCU some coaches seek new challenges plus he has spent some time living in Tennessee coaching at TTU.
Not talking shit but Gruden is a pipe dream.. He hated dealing with rookies in the NFL why would he want to get into recruiting ego driven 17-18 year old kids?? I'm just not buying.
