Never got the 360, but I had the original xbox and had to send that piece of shit in twice. Never again. Microsoft hardware sucks my ass.

Microsoft gaming in general is complete shit. The Microsoft gaming software and hardware are so shitty I can't even come up with a proper analogy. I bought one Microsoft game and it was COMPLETE shit I mean...total waste of 50$.

I've got a PS3, but all I ever play are NCAAF and Tiger Woods.  Recently played through God of War I and II. I have my buddies copy of III sitting here, just haven't bothered to start it.

WHY THE :lanekiffin: IS THERE NO NCAA BASKETBALL!?!?!?!

God of War III is SICK.

So I was looking at getting a PS3.  I saw a "Fat" PS3 80GB for $150?  80GB the size of the Hard Drive?  IF so does it really take up so much memory that people will pay over a $100 for just a larger memory or is there more differences for the 250GB?

I think mine is 80 and I've never had a problem.

The 250gb slim is a really good machine, too. Had it for probably 3 years, never had one single problem with it and it was silent. Think the fat PS3 is louder, too. Those go for about $200 on eBay, so the 500GB straight from Sony for $300 (+ the $60 Assassin's Creed game it comes with, + a two year warranty, + the $70 one year subscription to Playstation Plus) is the best value. I don't store any photos/music on it, but I'm going to absolutely fill that thing to the brim with blu rays.

Also, @Penguin. Microsoft makes some amazing software... I just don't trust their hardware

I hear Heavy Rain is a pretty cool game for the PS3.

Not for PC games....the Microsoft network or whatever that is supposed to be like steam, sucked balls. Also all their stuff crashes eventually.

Yeah, Steam sucks ass. Think that was their failed attempt of combating piracy.

Good movie 9/10

I would hardly call that a game but yeah it is very addicting and fun, although short. It's like a 6 hour movie.

I agree. I would buy an NCAA basketball game in a heartbeat. I couldn't give two shits about NBA, but NBA2K13 has the most realistic gameplay I've ever seen. Ever. I would love to recruit and build Auburn into a basketball powerhouse.

I have both systems.  They are both very comparable.  I like the online play on the 360, and the menu on the PS3.  My xbox is about 4 years old, I got it right after they fixxed the RROD issues.  My wife loves it and we have both logged over 200 hrs of skyrim on it.  I know Jennifer has logged at least that many more on the Dragon Age games.  I've played a crap ton of MW games on it.  I load all my games on the HD until I'm through with them and I've never had a hiccup.

The PS3 is nice, i get to use it mainly cause wifey likes the PS3.  The blue ray I reallly dig.

Jennifer preordered Assains Creed III and I'm really excited about it even though I haven't played any of the others.  I loved Fallout II.  I'm playing Fallout New Vegas now from time to time and waiting to get Blackops II.

NCAA games have traditionally been a huge step down from professional games. Mostly because the college sports system is just so different from professional sports, it can become to complicated to be realistic. Besides, if it was realistic there would have to be ways to cheat and pay players and put out hits (in football) on certain players. I would LOVE an NCAA fb game where I could throw a 4th string guy in there and tell him to stomp on someones nuts. I would be the dirtiest video game coach in the league, unfortunately that will never happen.

No idea man, but it wouldn't surprise me. Consoles definitely need to take the next step seeing as how PC has vastly superior graphics. I can't believe you still have the first gen of PS3 haha, I thought all of those got the "yellow light of death".
Don't be hating on the first generation PS3. I have the big chunky one and I added another harddrive so it now has like 180 gb.

I still have mine, and my friend still has his, we both pre ordered them. The failure rate for those PS3 systems was .2% if I remember correctly. It's by far the best hardware ps has put in any of their systems, I'm never getting rid of mine. Also, all my friends that have had Xbox360s have had to send them back at least once usually 2-5 times.

edit: there are rumors of ps4 but I think it comes down to how much better can they make games at this point? I feel like with PS3 they hit a technology wall for the amount of money people are willing to pay for a system.
The PS4 is coming out late next year or early 2014. The only thing that I have heard is a major increase in graphics. Everything else is still in the works and hasn't been released.
