SECTalk.com will host an SEC basketball pick 'ems contest for 2012-2013:

The basketball season begins on November 9th.  We've included all the SEC matchups in the Pick 'Ems.  Since SEC matchups do not start until January, we've added games for some of the more intriguing early non-conference games (e.g., Georgetown vs. Florida, Maryland vs. Kentucky, etc.).

This is not a spread based contest.  You simply pick the winner of each game.  You can get to the Pick 'Ems by clicking the Pick 'Ems tab at the top of the page.   Make sure when you make your picks, you remember to click “Submit Picks” at the bottom of the week’s pick ‘ems.   If you want to make changes to your picks prior to the pick ‘ems closing for each game, you can make changes and click “Submit Picks” again, and it keeps your latest changes in the system.

In the past, on several occasions, I’ve had people tell me that they forgot to make their picks after the pick ‘ems closed and asked me to make their picks for them.  I CANNOT make your picks for you.  So, make sure to get them in prior to closing.  One thing I do (and recommend you do the same) is make several week’s picks in advance to make sure I don’t miss a week.  After all, you can still go back and make changes right up until closing, even if you’ve already entered your picks.

Picking Schedule

The first group of games start on Nov 9-16.  Make sure to make the pick for those games prior to tip off of each game.

The bottom line is that it's up to you to keep up and get your picks in before closing,

Participation

Any registered user may register in any and all contests. However, only members with 100 or more posts will be eligible for any prizes that may be offered. Furthermore, ties for prizes will be broken by post count.  At this point, we're not sure if prizes will be offered, but at a minimum you can obtain bragging rights.

First, don't forget about us Mizzou fans. Second, do you guys have tournament games in this? For example, Mizzou is in te Battle 4 Atlantis tournament. Some of the teams in the tournament are Mizzou, Duke, Louisville, and VCU. I think that it would be cool if you had the game schedule with TBA and then you fill the teams in when someone advances.

You know we suck when the Mods are takin shots at us. Can't wait to have Pick ems in basketball. If Mizzou plays and beats UL you guys will receive some serious praise from UK fans. Our lil brother has trouble learning their place.

Usually we don't include any Tournament games during the regular season when we don't know who will advance. It would only give people less than a day to make their pick.

Also, we will be doing a separate NCAA Tournament pick e'ms at the end of the season where everyone picks the bracket.
