Going to the state fair this weekend, and I usually try to taste something new each year. I always go with my ole faithful of a sausage dog and fries, but I get something deep fried too. Best thing I've had so far was the deep fried cookie dough(though it sits on your stomach like a brick). Deep fried oreos weren't nearly as good as I thought they would be, but the deep fried reese's peanut butter cups are pretty damn good. What are some other things I should try(deep fried or not)

Deep fried snickers bar. Then do not eat for a week or two. But so good.

Last year, at the Alabama fair, we saw people eating deep fried kool-aid. They mix the kool-aid powder in the deep frying batter and well, they fry it. Not sure I would ever try that, but show that they will deep fry anything these days. And we wonder why our country is obese....

@Hothotz

Yeah, I've been eyeing those turkey legs for a few years. I think I'll go with that(I'd feel bad about eating 4,000 calories with basically no protein). That with the deep fried twinkies will probably be my choice.

The twinkie will be the best thing that you have ever put in your mouth!

And Turkey legs are so good. Make sure you go to the booth with the oldest black family selling them. They put that touch of soul into their food that just can't be beat.

I'd forgotten about those things. Man, I think a challenger just appeared.
