1. Alabama - retains their spot even on bye

2. South Carolina - easily the most dominating performance against a ranked opponent by any SEC team to date.

3. Florida - Outlasted LSU at their own game, by playing physical and grinding it out for a tough, low scoring win.

4. Mississippi State - Impressive road win, albeit not against a good team, MSU is 5-0 for the first time since 1999.

5. Texas A&M - It was close, but the Aggies gutted out a road win at Ole Miss and are now 4-1.

6. LSU - Has to find some offense. Defensively the Tigers can play with anyone, but there's no offense to match it.

7. Tennessee - on bye

8. Vanderbilt - came away with an unexpected W at Mizzou

9. Ole Miss - the record may not reflect it, but the Rebels look like they're improving

10. Arkansas - Actually put together some defense to hold the Aubies in check, and finally broke their losing streak.

11. Missouri - It's looking like the Tigers first year in SEC play will be a longer one than we thought.

12. Kentucky - Another home game, another disappointing effort

13. Auburn - It's pretty embarrassing that the Tigers couldn't muster any offense against even the obligatory defense of Arkansas.

14. Georgia - it's one thing to lose - it's another thing to not even show up to play. Georgia played the most uninspired football of any team in the conference on Saturday night, and got exposed as a mentally weak team incapable of punching back when they get punched in the mouth. For a team with high expectations, it's a sad and pathetic effort that reflects shamefully on the program as a whole.

Sad to say but O so true. USC punched us right in the mouth with their pass rush and we couldnt repsond. Defense didnt play terrible, The offensive line was over matched. Looked like a high school line going against an NFL pass rush. USC played great, Clowney as expected is a beast. Congrats Cocks. You earned it.

LEGENDARY

Swap UGA and the Aubs.
Georgia didn't show up on the road against a top 10 team.
the Aubs didn't show up at home against a dumpster fire.

FIFY. Sorry, Mizzou fans.
I'm certain the national media is relieved. They can kiss State's ass and go back to the old "Ole Miss is Waycist" narrative. Meanwhile I hope Gameday has fun in Morgantown. Look out for burning couches!

Very impressed with Carolina and UF.  The Gators still have not given up a single point in the 4th quarter.  Most well-conditioned team in the country?  And Carolina. . .that front was monsterous.  I still think Bama is the class of the conference, but if UF and Carolina catch some breaks they could end the west's dominance this season.

We all knew the gators defense would be solid.

It was te offense that had questions.

Driskell and Gillislee appear to be carrying that offense. It's not an urban Meyer offense but they're showing everyone you don't need that to winx

UGA is probably still #4. I'd keep A&M at 5 and slide State down to 6. I'd also switch Ole Miss with Vandy.

FIFY. Sorry, Mizzou fans.

At this point I'm hoping for 6-6.  Not as good as I expected, but I think we will be alright.  I've never been the most confident of fans, considering the teams that I love I've come by this caution honestly, but the Tigers will get their stuff together.  Maybe not this year, but they will.
GO TIGERS!

FIFY. Sorry, Mizzou fans.

Not much you can do, you can't win in the SEC when you're starting a freshman QB and freshman OLine because your first string players were almost all injured before the first, 2nd and third game.

All I know is these backup freshman are going to be some mean SOBs after being baptized through fire...
