ING AWESOME.
Big thanks to the person who has hooked me up with these for the entire season.
On to the game - I said to fellow dawgs before this one that it would be nice to see Georgia come out and look like a top 5 team from the opening kickoff and do it for four quarters. We did that tonight. Georgia came out with a "boot-on-the-throat" mentality for 60 minutes. We beat the dog-shit out of Vandy. The offensive line pushed the Vandy defense around like toys, and Todd Gurley, TODD
ING GURLEY looked like a man possessed. He looked straight up like Herschel Walker reborn the way he was shoving off would-be tacklers and busting his way down the field. Just the most impressive performance from him yet. Seriously, what more can you say about the offense than point to the numbers? 48 points, nearly 600 yards of total offense, 260+ on the ground and Murray was just SO stellar. The receiving corps is just full of ballers, I mean this unit is CLICKING. Have yet to score less than 40 points this year in a game.
Defensively, there was no repeat of the FAU or Buffalo games, giving up big plays early. The defense was lights out. A couple of times in the second half when Vandy managed to get a couple of big plays to get into the red zone, the defense "anchored down" (hah) and gave them no more.
It's only Vanderbilt, but Georgia finally played a complete football game for four quarters, and it was
ing impressive. Keep in mind, UGA played the 2nd and 3rd string offense for the entire 4th quarter (the 1st string did not play one down in the 4th), and only threw it four times in the last 25 minutes.of play. Just a great, great night to be a Dawg and it was a hell of a great day to be in Athens.
