i dont know who prefers what i have a source in NWA that says we are making a run at Gary Patterson. This comes from someone with direct ties to the program.

as far as Butch Davis goes....i am not a fan. he can get you up to a certain level but he arrives with baggage. id take Tubby over butch davis...now butch jones id have to think about.

are you a Davis man Chambliss?

Butch Davis is a great coach, he should be a lot of team's favorites out there.

He can recruit, organize a program, and always has a very good defense. Hell he had UNC churning out NFL talent.

I'd rather have Butch Davis over Petrino, Gruden...Les Miles.

He was fired, but general thought is he didn't do anything wrong. It was more of an entire athletic department issue and probably from ACC pressure...they took it out on him as the scapegoat. He probably could've saved himself if he'd just have suspended his players himself.

Whatever, many coaches have done worse things than what they got in trouble for. What you should take away from that season is how well Butch Davis did with all of those suspensions.

I'd take Davis #1, Tubbs #2. I don't think Patterson leaves TCU. Don't want Gruden, Strong, or Smart.

Franklin ain't going nowhere either...he's at the school with the best education in the SEC, the biggest city in the SEC, and a program he can build and make it his own. Nashville is also a great city to live in. Vandy also has the biggest endowment fund of money in the SEC and it is flowing into athletics now and the Vandy head man loves Franklin....he already is paid more than Dooley

Remember Vandy is a private school and does not have to tell anyone what they pay their coaches.....but it was let out Franklin makes more than Dooley:)

Patterson owns TCU and is going nowhere....Big 12 he can win there every year, why come to SEC and get your $ss beat....just ask the Missou coach.
