Terry Bowden would be a great hire.

Laugh if you want, but he went undefeated in the SEC (something that not even CBP was ever able to do)

No I'm not. You're simply trying to inflame some Hog fans by making that statement.

TCU doesn't have the facilities, tradition, fanbase, or money that Arkansas has. They were in the SWC for years and sucked. They will never be able to recruit better than OU, TX, or probably even OSU. They have been able to win based on coaching up lesser players. I'm not saying Patterson will come to Arkansas, but saying it would be a lateral move is an idiotic flaming statement from a UGA fan who is starting to feel better about his own team.

No, I'm simply stating an honest assessment that most people that aren't Arkansas fans would agree with.

And Arkansas will never be able to recruit better than Bama or LSU (or Florida or Georgia for that matter). You're a middle-tier program in the SEC, they're a middle-tier program in the Big 12. At least they're in a better geographic area. As far as facilities go, Patterson has gotten everything he's asked for in that regard at TCU, and they've got money and support. With the new playoff format coming, it doesn't make any sense to make a "lateral move" (middle-tier big 12 to middle-tier SEC) when he's already built a good program that he can take to the playoffs at TCU, just so he can coach in the SEC and have a tougher time of making to the playoffs.

Yeah, you did single out Arkansas. You said it would be a lateral move. There is absolutely nothing you could say that would realistically support that statement. If the guy is happy at TCU and doesn't want to leave that's fine. But it wouldn't be a lateral move, it would be an upgrade. Yeah, he got an upgraded stadium and facilities at TCU. We just spent another 35 million on our upgrades. You think they are one equal footing? Get real. STFU

coaches i want and in the order i want them

1. charlie strong - arkansas boy with great recruiting abilities and is obviously solid coach
2. butch davis - butch would be the best recruiter arkansas has ever had and he could build a badass staff based on his ability to recruit and what he did at miami.
3. garrick mcgee - i think he is a great offensive mind and can coach up a quarterback with the best of them. his uab team looked good against ohio state last saturday
4. patterson - dont see this happening because i think he is very happy where he is at but i do like his defenses
