Stats don't make a player good.

Typically, good players get some stats.

D Moncrief is REALLY good.  This coming from an MSU fan.

He was good last year as a true freshman and will be a big weapon for the next two years.
You listened to the Head to Head radio show yesterday, didn't you?
They were arguing that same thing during the show.

But yes, I agree, Moncrief is a beast, as I already posted in this thread.
Just had to argue with @ for the sake of arguing.

Too bad his choice of schools isnt as good as his abilities on the field... Have you see Ole Mizzes homecoming queen? She could roll over on him...squash him dead. Lol

Cobi Hamilton is the best WR in the SEC....not that its doing us much good.  But he's basically only played in two games.

If Moncrief played for Bama, ESPN would suck his dick daily...just like they did Julio

Heck they'd do that if I played for Bama.

I'd "venture off" and say Moncrief is better than Cobi Hamilton.
It'd be a wrong assumption, but everyone is entitled to have those from time to time.

Oh, 100 more receiving yards, the same number of TDs, and leading the SEC in receiving yards per game while missing the entire 1st game and 2nd half of the Bama game come to mind.

But different strokes.

No, you should know from trolling me about NFL talent that I don't believe stats = talent or determine who is the best player.

Justin Hunter is a better pro prospect to be sure, but on this level, I still like Moncrief.  DM adjusts to the ball so well and is making lemonade out of sea water at OM.

He'll still be getting my nod for best in the SEC.

Well since Moncrief is so awesome, good thing we have the best CB in the SEC (or America by many publications) to cover him.

Speaking of our good players, what piece(s) would we have to trade you guys for Moncrief?

http://espn.go.com/c...r/2012/group/80

Cobi Hamilton: 20 rec/ 429 yds/ 21.5 yds per reception/ 4 TDs (didn't play past first quarter against Jax St or 2nd half against Bama)

Justin Hunter: 30 rec/ 410 yds/ 13.7 yds per reception/ 4 TDs

Jordan Matthews: 26 rec/ 395 yds/ 15.2 yds per reception/ 2 TDs

Donte Moncrief: 19 rec/ 343 yds/ 18.1 yds per reception/ 4 TDs

Depending on what stats matter most in your arugment, arguably he is 21st in the nation and 4th in the SEC.
