This thread lasts at least another year.
It's already lasted several... this is the Stafford/Tebow thread brought out of the ashes and renewed with different QB's. Same arguments, same debates, same insults, and ultimately, same results when it's all said and done.

Frankly, the OL and RB arguments are a little irrelevant, because all QB's, college and NFL, are rated the same way in their groups with no consideration for how good or bad their OL is or RB's are... everybody knows that varies going into the discussion. Does it matter? Yes. Do analysts use it when they rate QB's either in college or the pros? Nope.
Want to know how this debate is ultimately going to end? Well, if things stay pretty much the way they are now, and McCarron finishes with the better rating and overall accomplishments in college, a few Dawg fans will wait until the 2 QB's have made their way onto an NFL team to revisit this. And if Murray has the better QB numbers at that point, they'll point to it and say, "See, Murray was the better QB in college all along.", without any regard to the factors they're arguing now, like which NFL team has the better OL or RB. Nor will some of them concede that 1 guy could be better in college, or better suited to the college game, but worse in the pro game.
That pretty much sums it up.
