We may not have won many more games if Petrino had been here this year, but the lack of fear of butt chewings waiting on the sidelines may have taken a little edge off our players.Saban has his players FULL attention.
No argument from me. !   I will be right back-Im going to beat my kid to put the fear in him.  I hope he becomes a doctor.

Tony Dungy and Tom Landry throw a wrench in that theory. Coaches don't have to rupture arteries on the sideline to be successful.

I like and respect Richt,he's good for these players and I'm fine with ya'll keeping him.Just saying I think his ceiling's below where ya'll ultimately want to be.But I've been wrong plenty of times before and there's nothing wrong with 10-11 win seasons.

Football and real life are two different issues IMO.

There's a difference between not having control of your emotions and not disciplining your players. Five yards is the difference right now between everyone taking back everything they ever said about Richt and going right back to "Richt is too nice." I don't understand it, frankly. I think these arguments are lazy and based more on what people here other people saying about Richt than anything factual. Lazy talking points. Richt's team this year was one of the best in college football and just fell short in a game that could  have gone either way. Now we're back to "Richt can't win because he's a nice guy?" That's absurd. I think people who believe that are either A: not watching or B: willfully ignoring what's right in front of them.

You may be right. He might be at his ceiling. I really dont know. But I kind of can agree with you. UGA  was his 1st HC job & I'm sure has been learnig experience & has been disecting how to be a HC as he goes. So maybe he's not in the same league as some other coaches that have had multiple experiences. But one thing is for sure--> If he ever figures it out, UGA will be on top for a long time. Because onr thing everyone will agree--> He is consistant.
