I would actually like to hear your explaination.

Its not Special Forces' fault they had to wait on a Commander-In-Chief to give the thumbs up. I imagine they would have wanted to take him out as soon as possible, but in the military you have to await orders.

Until a President slaps on a ballistic vest and enters into immediate danger to perform a task like this themselves, they deserve no credit. No matter who it is.
I know it must have been terrifying and gut-wrenching anxiety to have to give that thumbs up and then off to dinner for Filet Mignon and red wine. Poor, poor President. He should be getting all of this credit for doing something that most all Americans would have done? Well socialism is socialism. Share the credit right?

Two reasons:

1. If Obama had given the order and everything went wrong and the Seals got slaughtered, the GOP would want his balls on a platter. It would be a huge albatross around his neck and they most certainly would use it to say he is a poor leader.

But more importantly:

2. By all accounts, we had Binnie dead to rights at Tora Bora and Dumbya's gnat-like attention span gave out on him and we went into Iraq instead. That's why Obama gets the credit. W would certainly have gotten the credit if he had done it (don't even bother pretending you would still be crediting the seals). You're all just burnt because your phony cowboy tough guy was a failure. Too bad

I'm not arguing if he should get credit over Bush Jr. I'm saying neither of them should receive credit for something they didnt do.

Though no one would want to think of the possibility of a tragedy had things gone wrong, most people would not have argued with going to get Bin Ladin regardless of the outcome. Its something that most believe had to be done.

If my boss at work gives me a project to create a new sales plan to increase our outside sales. I do all the leg work and come up with a successful plan and implement it myself. I don't think it would be fair to give my boss credit just because he gave me the green-light for the project.

There is one thing I am pround of......Alabama and Mississippi will vote conservative Republican and there is no doubt about it.  Democrats are not even trying to win these states.  We have large minority populations but I think most citizens understand reality.  Most of the SEC states, for that matter, will vote republican.  Every now and then we see some of the SEC states vote liberal, but AL and MS (add TX now), for last several elections, have been no contest conservatives.  No matter how you slice it, Big Government is BAD!!  There is nothing that government does a good job at.

Yes, Republicans do some dumb things too.  You can pick abortion, tax breaks, women haters, or any other line item and try to justify voting for one party or another.  But if you really look at the election from 20,000 feet, you have to make a decision based on who wants a bigger government and who wants to allow as much personal freedom as possible.  Personally, I want my freedoms.  The consitituion of this country was pretty darn clear that we all should have these rights and that government needs to stay out of our lives except for a very few areas (defense).

Talking politics will only gain me enemies on the board so I will get off my high-horse.  I just hope everyone on this board who votes will not get hung up on one or two issues, see the big picture, and help turn this country around before it is too late.   And we are about to cross that too-late line!
