I'd say about 75% of the people on government assistance shouldn't be....what would you do with them? Line 'em up and shoot 'em?

If you want to tax the rich more, income tax isn't the way to do it. Most of their income is from capital gains, dividends, etc. Raise those taxes and reduce the amount of tax shelters. I hate the tax break for charitable contributions...we should do away with that.

A Capitalistic free market enterprise helps the down and out, because all gov'ts have an element of socialism in them.
This in turn makes people who holler "Obama is a socialist!" all the more hypocritical.
