I was curious to see what other people thought about him playing this weekend after his mom losing her battle with cancer. Any opinions on his play or what the team is going to do when they play on Saturday? My heart goes out to him and his family.

He has said he would play, but I wouldn't blame him if he didn't.

Hard to imagine what he's going through right now.

Im just praying for the jay and his family man....nothing can bring her back but maybe a win would make him feel better idk to be honest. Wish there was something we as fans could do.

well from personal experience  cancer is something where you expect the person to die and have a good idea when it will happen.  Its completely different than a car accident.  You are almost prepared for it and the hit is much less because you have time to prepare yourself

There will be no pressure for him to play

reports are that he will play

I would imagine the normalcy of running over people will make him feel better. I am sure the team is going to rally to him or at least I would hope they would.

This might be a special game,  the killed former football players (there will be a tribute to them or moment of silence)  and Jay's mother  (i imagine they will do or say something for him in her memory)

Definitely right. He had time at the very least to prepare. In my personal experiences, my grandfather was diagnosed with stage 4, 3 weeks before he passed. Now that was too hard to take, still is today if I'm being honest.

We all know no matter how much time, losing a loved one is hard Everyone goes through their grieving differently, and I hope he gets through this. I really hate to hear it.

You can do better, but I am not sure you ever honestly prepare.
