Still coaching.
After news came out that the ur athletic dept operated at a 4 million dollar loss for the fiscal year, they're going to wait until his buyout decreases which is feb 15th I believe

I was not aware of the deficit but it makes sense considering all they've had to pay out over the past 2-3 years. Looks like Dooley is there for at least one more full season if not longer.

this is year 3 - he has until AT LEAST the end of next year unless he totally sinks and goes 4-8 or worse
I see the Vols turning it around this year:
9/1: NC State (toss up)
9/8: Georgia State W
9/15: Florida (toss up)
9/22: Akron W
9/29: @ Georgia L
10/6: *bye*
10/13: @ Miss. State (toss up)
10/20: Alabama L
10/27: @ South Carolina L
11/3: Troy W
11/10: Missouri (toss up)
11/17: @ Vanderbilt W
11/24: Kentucky W
The 3 losses on their schedule (Bama, USC & UGA) look pretty certain, but I see them winning 3 of thgeir 4 toss up games & getting Dooley another year
That would make you 8-4 or 7-5. Y'all have 2 critical games in the 1st 3 weeks, you REALLY need to win one of them to have a shot at a decent season...

His buyout is $5 million right now. But phat Phil comes off the books this year so maybe Dooley will just replace him

I think his official drowning was the uk game. One does. One does not simply lose to uk and keep his job. Hell, I'd like to think VU drove the final stake through Fulmers heart in 05.
Just as the shitstorm reached epic proportions in the Bluegrass after ya'll drubbed us. One does not simply get raped by Vandy and keep their job, even at UK.

"Johnny, we're going to kick your ass today." -UK Coach Fran Curci to UT Coach Johnny Majors before Curci's last game.
Final score....UK 21 - UT 10

Didn't Dooley whip out some kind of weird orange poodle at a practice or something?....

It's a simple over under game. I give you the week number, you tell me if Dooley has been fired by then, or if he is still coaching. I'll try to update after every week, but after some point, I'll be far too furious to even go on. Hell, if it weren't for me being out of school, I might have killed myself. Anywho, let's get her started off.

Have a good week one. And apologies for dropping the CFA ball.

You were off by several weeks but I'm sure it still feels like you won.
May the bridges I burn light the way.
