I'm rooting for the guy and I'm glad he is named the starter but he looked pretty terrible the other night.  Only reason I want him starting is to see what we have and just to have something exciting.  I swear the Titans have to be one of the most boring teams in the NFL. But what do ya'll think? Will he succeed or are the Titans poised to draft another QB of the future in the next 2-3 years?

At this point I'd say it's about 50/50

At this point what do we have to lose?  When they went insane over Peyton this summer Hasselbeck had to see the writing on the wall.

Do you know why Deuce Wayne is such a douchebag?

Dude is the biggest contrarian I've ever been in contact with.

I have no idea what my GoTitans password is so I haven't talked to Duece in a while.  That place got so toxic during the last few VY years I quit posting.

i have no problem with hasselbeck...he was exactly what we needed last year after all the bullcrap we had to put up with, with VY...but Locker starting does make it more exciting for good or for worse...I dont think we are a playoff team with Hass or Locker so like you you said, what do we have to lose...

I don't think the offense will be very vanilla this year.

i hope not...but i still dont like palmer as OC...he just sucks in my opinion...too predictable in formations, playcalling, etc...i thought he would be a one year thing since we couldnt find anyone else but i guess we'll see...

It worked with the Hartford Colonials so it MUST work with the Tennessee Titans

locker did some good stuff, but also missed some throws tonight...IF he can stop sailing some of his passes as he becomes more comfortable, he brings a lot to the table...we also had a few drops too though...

at least we arent the cardinals...they have NOTHING at QB...

Kind of a no-brainer decision in my opinion. You can make the argument that it took them too long to make the decision. They drafted the guy to be the future of the franchise. Hasselbeck was more of an insurance policy than anything. They HAVE to figure out if the guy can play or not. He's been very inconsistent from what I've seen thus far. Thought he looked very comfortable and made some really good decisions at times in the game against the Cards the other night. Made just some poor throws as well though. He seems to have the tools, just need to see if he can put it all together.

What do you Titans fans think of your upcoming season? I was actually pretty impressed with what I saw from the defense the other night. On the other hand, I don't know if I've ever seen worse offensive line play than what I saw from the Cards. They look to be in for a VERY long season. Was not impressed with the Titans depth on defense but they could be in good shape if they stay healthy. Speaking of health, seeing Mariani go down was brutal. That's a pretty big loss.... especially not knowing the status of Britt. You hate to see guys go down in the preseason!

I don't know about CJ. I really thought he'd bounce back this season but he has not looked good in the preseason at all thus far. He looks a step slower and isn't hitting the holes like he once did. He looks like nothing more than just another average NFL back. He's lost his "mojo" and he better find it quick.

All in all I think the Titans look like they have another .500 season on the horizon!
Phyllis-But it is a big deal. You almost killed Stanley.
Dwight-Yeah right! I filled him full of butter and sugar for 50 years and forced him not to exercise!
