We used to go to a place called One Block East.Is it still there?

one block got leveled a couple years ago. yet one block away is plenty to choose from. after you ride by one block take a left at the dead end at the levee and no way to miss it all. btw washington avenue isn't one way anymore so don't get unnerved riding down the road.

I call bullshit. Miami is way more crime ridden than Jacksonville

Both are bad.
Miami is  mostly Latino crime.
Jax is mostly black crime.

What is this based on?  Obviously higher population = higher crime.  What about per capita?  I mean bar none, Louisville has the most crime in the state.  Especially East end.  North end of Lexington is rough too, but it's not like I'm scared to walk around most of that area at night.  Some parts of Georgetown Street and Russell Cave I won't fool around on after dark, as well as some of the numbered streets downtown, but that's about it.
It's the west end of Louisville from Downtown west that is friggin dangerous Puddin. East end is upper middle class to very wealthy.

I'm thinking "Columbia better not be on this list" before I open the thread. Myrtle Beach was honestly one of the SC cities I was thinking should be listed, due to the seemingly nonstop partying that goes on there. Plus it's overrun with yanks during most of the summer, as is Hilton Head. Edisto is where it's at for SC residents to go beachin'

North Charleston just shot Myrtle Beach for even pretending to be as dangerous.

LOL this!

Used to be in the Old Navy/Gap Inc. system.

We would have district meetings for Loss Prevention awareness (Old Navy stores across most of the state - including N. Charleston). Their store manager would always be faced with the dilemma of the same people coming in with shopping carts from wherever, load em up with Old Navy merchandise, and just stroll right out the door with all of it without paying. Calling the police several times before always took them too long to show up. The manager is like "WTF do I do??? If I approach them, they'll more than likely stab me or pull a gun on me." That area has some serious issues.

Friend used to teach middle school Spanish at a public school there.   He had multiple 16+ year olds in his classes, and there were multiple security guards at the bus line each afternoon to prevent chaos.    Huge brawls still happened but it made them less frequent.   I'm pretty sure North Charleston was named one of the 10 most dangerous places in the entire country.
