Your missing Wagner at DB. Other than that, it's not too bad. It's not like we expect much from them. Just keep teams under 35 points and that will give the Vols a chance.

Second team and Nickel are shaping up. Looks like Eric Gordon seems to have looked down the Star or NB spot.

Wagner should be back at CB early and often. I like the size and experiance on the D with ILB the only scary thin spot. But with E Gordon shining at NB and a few guys at ILB as back ups short of losing both ILBs at the same time I think we will be OK.

Thoughts?

Actually I am expecting a bit out of them. 36 in total D last year means we were not bad just prone to 1 or 2 stupid plays a game. We only gave up 23 pionts a game with in 3 points of everyone but the top 2 Ds in the SEC.

Last year it was the O that killed us.

I think Jordan Williams has a real chance to win that jack linebacker spot. Waggner at corner, Eric Gordon at "star" which is the nickel position.

He's playing at like 215 now. Much faster. Hope he can stay healthy but we have talent at the safety position. Depth is good there.

Wagner is fighting a staff infection and losing ground to the 2 I listed. I fully expct heavy rotation everywhere on the D this year without a noticeble drop from 1 -2 on the chart. We have a big tough depp Dline and are deep at OLB and DB to the point that we will always be fresh. Something that hasnt happened in a very long time. ILB is still thin but we can run a base nickel to cover up that spot. I would feel better if Harris was a go by mid season.

The Oline is a big concern for me after the scrimage now. I never felt awestuck by them this offseason and I am not seeing what I would like out of them.

I have seen everything from 240-257 on him. 247 was the weight from a trusted site last feburary the same site said he looked bigger. I rounded up or down to the nearest 5 pound based on speculation of reporters on the daily times in Maryville.

They are back to being 100%. Hunter changes the offense.

Hunter, Patterson and a happy Rodgers are the most talented trio of WRs on I have ever seen. Neal and Lane are good enough to be 1000 yard backs. Bray is a first round pick. It is and was the Oline I am afraid of.

The D will be better than we have have since Fulmer left.
