Jerad Grundy worked six innings and allowed only one run while fanning a career-high nine and No. 11 Kentucky got four hits - including three doubles -from senior Thomas McCarthy to post a 5-1 win over No. 21 Mississippi State to clinch a berth in the Southeastern Conference Tournament Semifinals, in front of 6,798 on a steamy Thursday afternoon at Regions Park.
