What do you guys think about Richie Farmer now that all of this stuff about the good ole boy system and the entitlement setup he had going on in Frankfort as Ag Commish? Pretty damn shady if you ask me. Never was a fan of David Williams either..he's one of the biggest obstacles to UK getting the state legislature to approve bonding for football upgrades.

For any of you folks outside the Bluegrass who may wonder just wtf I'm referring to:

It's seperated into 4 pages so I won't post the whole article. Here's a nice sidebar that may intrigue you into reading more though:

MAJOR FINDINGS

Here some of the most critical findings in the report:
Misuse of state employees: State workers helped build a basketball court in Farmer’s backyard and took him on shopping and hunting trips.
Missing state property: Two laptop computers assigned to Farmer are missing, as are six Remington rifles bought for $449 each to give as gifts.
Gifts: Farmer is accused of not reporting several gifts, including $900 in concrete for the ball court, from people outside the department.
Purchases: Farmer’s relatives used state-rented hotel rooms at the state fair at a cost of $4,257. Also, Farmer twice had staff fill Christmas baskets with donated and state-purchased items and gave the baskets to family.
Rewarded friends: Documentation could not be found showing work done by Farmer’s girlfriend, whom he hired in October. Also, a friend of Farmer’s was paid $70,457 for work and travel when no work was done.

For those of you who have been living under a rock (meaning non-Kentuckians) Farmer was one of the Unforgettables...Pitino's '92 squad that lost to Duke on the infamous Laettner shot.

Richie blew it. He could have been governor if he had kept his nose clean, and played politics the way he played basketball. He has forever tarnished his legacy....and for what?...a little poon on the side, a crappy fridge, some guns, and a laptop. He did have Pitino as his coach, so....that might explain some things.
