Judging from all the Gamecock sites, we have one scholarship left to give...one of the prospects our new staff has been high on is Cincinnati PG William Moore, a former early signee to Duquesne, but who was released from his letter due to the coaching staff there being fired....Moore apparently was down to Virginia Tech and USC, but today (Monday) while on an official visit to VT, Seth Greenberg was fired. So now it seems to be down to us: Moore is now trying to set up an OV with our staff sometime this weekend. Stay tuned...

Apparently Oregon has now offered Moore as well, and one of their assistants has close ties to Cincinnati area basketball. They may be a factor, but certainly the Gamecocks are in better shape with him than they were before VT coaching change.
I saw the Gamecock Central reporter refer to William Moore, Tevin Glass, and Sheldon Jeter as the likely candidates for that last schollie. I've seen different reports where one says they love Moore, another Glass, and another they're excited about Jeter, hah. So who knows which one they would take if all 3 were to decide they want to come here.

I'm pretty surprised it looks like we're going to give out all the free schollies. But Martin has typically left schollies open at KState so he's not one to hand them out just to fill up a roster. If he's going to give them all out then he thinks all these kids are worth a shot.

If the bench is deep enough theres no reason to give it out. Next year you don't want to miss out on a few good recruits because of a lack of schollies.

I can't wait to again attend a basketball game with well over half the seats in CLA filled with excited fans. Good job so far coach Martin.

Sheldon Jeter announces tonight at 8. Would be HUGE if we could pull this one off, ESPN top 150 player.
Down to USC, Vandy, Peen State, and Wisconsin. Everyone's sources have him going to different places, so not really sure who has the best chance here.

I'm thinking Penn State.

Apparently Jeter's coach reported he was going to Vandy, but his Dad said no decision has been made and they will have a family meeting to discuss it. I don't know what's going on. Probably Vandy though

They have quotes from Jeter himself. It is a blog but it's associated with the Pittsburg post gazette so I'm assuming it's reputable.
