Calipari was shootin hard for Jordan Clarkson and Frank Haith ended up pullin it off. Rare for Cal to lose a recruit he wants. Kid was averaging 16 points a game at Tulsa and was all conference USA first-team. Solid pick up for Mizzou. Don't know what fascination Frank Haith has with transfers but he's picked up some promising ones.
Alot of it has to do with Mike Anderson. Our classes got screwed up with diffections and players being kicked off the team when he showed up. He then loaded all those open scholarships with incoming freshman. He never corrected this by staggering his open scholys or taking juco or transfer kids until his last year. Even then he took 2 JR JUCO kids which joined all the now JR's from his first loaded all freshman class. He them compounded the problem buy not signing a single player before jumping to arky out the back door in his last season. Haith took on a team that was nearly all seniors. Of the 15 players listed on last years roster 9 were seniors and they had only 8 scholarship players. Bowers (possibly our best player and a SR) was hurt before the season so that left only 7 players that were on scholly. He took all the transfers, a mixture of class ranks, to balance the roster. It also serves to load the roster with talent. Pairing a number of good players at every class with our incoming kids.
Here is our roster breakdown now.

G-Keion Bell (transfer from Pepperdine)
F-Laurence Bowers
