Tanaka had his first spring outing...and his stuff was filthy at times. Dude already has a top 5 salary for pitchers of all time without stepping in the field, pretty high expectations.

Bailey looked shakey the other day.  Expecting a big season on the mound from him.

Stanton is a freaking monster, strongest player in the MLB.

Aroldis Champman was hit in the face off a batted ball. I hope he's okay. Most likely it was on a fastball and if so, that ball must have been moving fast.

Sweet, I've been to that field when I was little. Watched my Uncle play spring ball with the Mets. Stanton is a beast.

Hope Chapman is alright, he was conscious at least.

Guh...that Posted Image is scary.  I was at the Trop a few yrs ago when Red Sox pitcher Matt Clement took one off the skull.  Some douchbag teens behind me were yelling that he was dead (while it was thankfully obvious he was conscious).    Health-wise he was fine, but he was never the same pitcher after that.

I can't really remember a guy taking one straight to the face though...just the skull.   Hopefully his eyes are fine and it'll mostly be getting over that mental hurdle again.

He's got fractures above his left eye and nose.   Didn't get knocked out though,  so he took it like a champ.

Just read Chapman will be able to workout in 10-14 days and get back into 'game situations' in 4-6 weeks.   Even if that includes a rehab assignment I doubt that would be more than a couple games.   He's a lucky dude with no long term physical damage.
