OXFORD, Miss. – After concluding his impressive four-year Ole Miss career last month, Terrance Henry has been selected to participate in the prestigious Portsmouth Invitational Tournament scheduled for April 11-14 at Churchland High School in Portsmouth, Va.

Operating since 1953, the Portsmouth Invitational is one of the preeminent NBA pre-draft camps with approximately 200 NBA representatives in attendance.  The four-day tournament consists of 12 games with the 64 invited college seniors playing on eight teams of eight players each.

Henry finished his Rebel career with 1,095 points (28th-most in school history) and was an All-SEC second team selection this past season.  The 6-9 forward led Ole Miss in scoring during the 2011-12 season averaging 12.2 ppg.

The Monroe, La., native graduated from the Rebel program as only the second player in school history with 1,000 points and 100 blocks in a career.

Familiar names teaming up with Henry on his eight-player squad sponsored by Roger Brown’s Restaurant are California’s Jorge Gutierrez, Syracuse’s Scoop Jardine, Georgia’s Gerald Robinson and Wesley Witherspoon of Memphis. Other SEC players invited to the camp include Mississippi State’s Dee Bost, Alabama’s JaMychal Green and Florida’s Erving Walker.

Former Rebel players Dwayne Curtis (2005-08) and Chris Warren (2008-11) also participated in the Invitational following their senior seasons.

Tickets for the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament are $10 per night or $32 for all 12 games.  2012 Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame inductee Ralph Sampson will be the featured speaker at the Celebrity Luncheon.
