THIS WEEK FOR OLE MISS:<br/>The Rebels will continue to Southeastern Conference play this week, hitting the road to face the top-ranked Kentucky Wildcats in Lexington in a three-game series beginning at  5:30 p.m. CT on Friday afternoon. It marks the second straight week that Ole Miss has faced the No. 1 team in the nation after winning the series against top-ranked Florida this past weekend in Oxford.

NEXT WEEK FOR THE REBELS:<br/>Ole Miss will play five games next week, starting with a double-header against Central Arkansas in Oxford on Tuesday afternoon. First pitch is set for 3 p.m. at Swayze FIeld. The Rebels will then hit the road again to face the Georgia Bulldogs in a three-game series that will be played Thursday through Saturday. Thursday night’s game is the ESPNU Game of the Week and will begin at 6:30 p.m.

PROBABLE PITCHING MATCH-UPS:<br/>FRIDAY, 5:30 P.M.<br/>UK - Taylor Rogers, Jr., LHP<br/>OM - Bobby Wahl, So., RHP<br/>NOTING WAHL: Sophomore right-hander Bobby Wahl takes the mound on Friday night when the Rebels take on the Kentucky Wildcats. Wahl holds an overall record of 5-0 and is coming off a shutout win over No. 1 Florida that saw the right-hander work a career-long 8.0 innings and hold the Gators to two hits in his time on the mound. Only one runner advanced past first base on Wahl in what proved to be his third shutout win of the season. He was named the SEC Pitcher of the Week and National Pitcher of the Week by the NCBWA following the outing. Wahl also scored the game-winning run to clinch the series on Sunday as a pinch runner in the ninth inning against the Gators.

SATURDAY, 1:00 P.M.<br/>UK - Jerad Grundy, Jr., LHP<br/>OM - R.J. Hively, Sr., RHP<br/>NOTING HIVELY: Senior right-hander R.J. Hively will take the mound for the Rebels in game two of the weekend series at Kentucky. Hively holds a 3-1 record on the season with a team-leading 49 strikeouts and 1.71 ERA through 42.0 innings of work. The right-hander has combined for one shutout this season and has held opponents to a .226 batting average in his time on the mound. Hively has taken no decision in his last two starts, but has allowed only three earned runs in his last five starts spanning 32.1 innings of work.

SUNDAY, NOON<br/>UK - Corey Littrell, So., LHP<br/>OM - Mike Mayers, So., RHP<br/>NOTING MAYERS: Sophomore right-hander Mike Mayers is slated to take the mound for the Rebels in the series finale on Sunday at Kentucky. Mayers holds a 2-2 record on the season through six starts (he did not post a start in the first weekend of the season due to a rainout shortening the series). He has struck out 28 batters and walked only nine through 40.0 innings of work and has held opponents to a .217 batting average against in his time on the mound. Mayers has taken no decision in his last two outings of the season.

A LOOK AT KENTUCKY:<br/>The Wildcats of Kentucky enter the weekend series with an overall record of 28-2 and are coming off a 19-6 midweek win over Dayton. The Wildcats also claimed the weekend series at Georgia last weekend. Kentucky is hitting .333 as a team and is led at the plate by Austin Cousino who is hitting at a .363 clip on the season with five home runs and 26 RBI. Luke Maile leads the power numbers with eight home runs and 34 RBI. As a pitching staff, the Wildcats hold a 3.32 ERA and are led by Sunday starter Corey Littrell with a 1.88 ERA. Friday night starter Taylor Rogers leads the team with 47 strikeouts to only eight walks. As a staff, the Wildcats have struck out 267 and walked only 76

OLE MISS VS. KENTUCKY:<br/>Ole Miss and Kentucky have faced off 67 times in the history of the two programs with the Rebels holding a 41-26 lead in the all-time series.  

LAST TIME OUT VS. KENTUCKY:<br/>Ole Miss and Kentucky last met in Oxford in the 2011 season with the Rebels picking up a series sweep of the Wildcats. The Rebels won the three games 3-2, 12-10 and 6-5. Blake Newalu led Ole Miss at the plate in the series, hitting .545 (6-for-11) and scoring four runs. Brett Huber picked up a win and a save on the weekend, while Bobby Wahl picked up a pair of saves against the Wildcats to help the Rebels secure the sweep.

BIANCO VS. KENTUCKY:<br/>Ole Miss head coach Mike Bianco has had success against Kentucky, posting an all-time record of 18-10 against the Wildcats as a head coach. The last series win for Ole Miss in Lexington came in the 2010 season. The two teams did not meet in 2004 or 2005.
