Baylor's coach is an interesting name, he's run a good program, but his teams play is somewhat inconsistent, even this year with boatloads of talent

He has a big time track record as a headcoach against much better teams than Smart.  Wiki says he makes 500,000, so prolly a little over a mill.

Could be a splash hire

Cunningham is not a part of Stans coaching tree, other than the literal sense that he worked for him. Cunningham has different basketball philosophy from RS, and I think you guys would enjoy watching his style of basketball. Kirby is a great recruiter and has great relationships with a lot of people here, but his philosophy is much closer to RS than Cunningham.

And Gillispie? smh.

Smart, Pastner, if we could get Scott Drew would be slam dunks
Cunningham, Prohm would be good hires
Marshall, Kirby, Gillispie would be bad

I dont think Pastner would be agood hire at all.  Memphis is full of high school All Americans and highly rated players, and he is doing nothing impressive with that talent.

I think Mississippi has a lot to offer a player development type guy.

I'm not really against a guy like Pastner, but he's kindof young RS.

Luring Baylor's coach would secure full ninja status for SS.

I never considered Scott Drew because that sounds like a pipe dream but holy shit if we landed him, I would be ecstatic. That's a homerun hire, IMO.

Drew's agent contacted us, though it could be more to get his Baylor contact fatter.  But remember, the big 12 does not split revenue equally so Baylor gets next to nothing.

They can't pay him what we payed RS.

He has been the target of a few ethical violations and slightly shady recruiting tactics.  But he gets some of the very best players in the country each year.  His recruiting classes over the last four years have been nothing short of nasty.  He nearly got John Wall two years ago.

How much does RS make?  Baylor could easily pay well over 1m for Drew.  They have money.  It would be sort of a lateral move on Drew's part.
