I made the local news last night apparently.  Got home at 4am, slept til 5am, worked from 6am til just now.  Just parked my ass in front of the TV to watch the live broadcast of the team landing at Bluegrass Airport and the police motorcade taking 'em down to Rupp for the celebration!  Wish I could've gotten tickets to go down there, I was there in '96 and '98.

WE DID IT BABY!  NATIONAL FREAKIN CHAMPIONS!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Which criminal in a blue jumpsuit were you?  Did you ever get on a moped?  Did you grab a propane tank at any point?  Did you ever take your clothes off?  Fire a gun?  Set a garage on fire?  I guess what I'm really asking is...where you at 200 State Street?

Ah.  You probably have to friend me on Facebook first.  I posted a couple of videos...volume and camerawork are awful but you can tell just how freaking nuts it was down there last night.

Ayyy my man!  I was there at the celebration ceremony and it was damn awesome.  They drove the bus literally into the arena and the team was introduced individually and they just walked off and onto the stage one-by-one.

It was amazing something I'll probably never forget.  Where did you go out to last night?  I started at Tin Roof at around 7pm, then moved down to Two Keys, and then hung out with a bunch of hometown kids I knew at Hugh Jass to watch the game.  I managed to get around 1am just avoiding the mayhem that ensued afterwards as I had no intention of getting shot or arrested.

Despite that I still overslept this morning and awoke to my living room furniture being turned upside down.  I think one of my roommates may have attempted to bring the furniture outside to burn.  Interesting night for sure.

My boy lives on Woodland 3 houses down from Cosmics/Lynagh's so we watched the game there and were poppin champagne bottles off the roof onto titties down below.  'Twas awesome.  I posted a couple of horribly drunken phone vids on my facebook page of us celebratin at champions corner...a lot of jumping and screaming. Big Daddy's had us waiting in line to go in 2 at a time to get more booze.  Got a supplemental 12 pack and made our way down to Tin Roof/Two Keys about 1:30 and partied down there til 3:30.  Didn't get my sorry ass home til 4, had to get up for work at 5. Was complete ass at work today, but totally worth it!   Unfortunately couldn't get tickets to the celebration down there.  Glad you got to see #8 hung in the Rafters.  I was there for #6 and 7 with my pops.  Special memories you'll tell your grandkids about one day.

Was bored and procrastinating from studying and went back through this thread (especially the police scanner part) and saw some of this stuff.

GET YOUR ISH TOGETHER FELLAS AND MAKE THIS LEGENDARY!  Not only was their SEC glory, but sexy dispatcher sexiness, wounded fans, increased sales of new couches, and people going out of their damn minds.

I nominate this for Legendary threads please.  Get it done.

Kentucky made the #1 top college riot of all time.  However they got the date wrong!  They have the date for the Louisville game but the specific riot they were talking about was for the Kansas game.  There were a bunch of people out on the streets after the Louisville game but nowhere near the chaos after winning the national championship.

The fabled riots of '12 are indeed the stuff of legend.

So glad I can say I was at Euclid and Woodland that night.  I posted video in this thread somewhere I believe.
