   What you have to understand is that the University of Texas has already been paid by ESPN and when anybody subcribes to the Longhorn Network that money goes directly in the pockets of ESPN.
   Before revenue sharing was implemented in the BIG12, ESPN showed up at Mack Browns doorstep in the middle of the night with a 10 year contract for 100 million and said "sign right here where the X is, thank you, here is your LHN, here is your first check for 10 mill, thank you have a good night." So when you play t.u., ESPN owns all the rights and boosts it's subscriber base by making you sign up for LHN. So many people have bitched that their team is playing t.u. and you either have to Pay for ESPN Streaming or buy into LHN.
   This is the exact reason I warn the SEC when dealing with ESPN/ CBS/ ABC etc.... 1st. the SEC should have it's own network and control over its programing. 2. Don't believe anything the networks say till it is in writing, with a renegoiation clause. 3 There is way more programming that can be shown than they have camera crews to cover. So many sports programs never get televised, it is time that our Universities join in a partnership with ESPN and our Journalism schools for the training of reporters, internet, camera people, radio, broadcasting, print media, advertising etc...for our own network. We need to have some form of control and spin on our own network that involves the school and student body in the educational process. 4. Whatever they are offering you ...it's not enough.
