Yeah, but he also threw 35 TD's, 11 more than Wilson did. Murray gets all his receivers back while Wilson loses all of his. Just sayin'.

Getting Knile back should help Tyler out. We still return Cobi and Gragg and probably most importantly Paul Petrino will be back in the box.
May the bridges I burn light the way.

I think it's close. I don't think Bray is as good as he thinks he is, and if Spurrier can recover from Brah Garcia: The Derpening, he can develop Shaw better than Dooley can develop Bray.
Serious question - when has Spurrier EVER developed a quarterback?

I can't cound how many times last season Wilson had a completed pass down to the 1 or two yard line. Score on half of them and he's right there with Murary.
Murray's good, but his TD:Int ratio was less than 3:1. Wilson's was 4:1 and threw for more yards.
Its close, but at this point I'd have to say Murray is #2, and there's not much of an argument to move him ahead of Wilson as of now.

Well by the same token, Murray was in plenty of situations where we were in the redzone and the OL just couldn't protect or get enough push to finish the drive with a TD. In fact, we were one of the more abysmal teams in red zone conversions, IIRC.
Wilson's TD-INT ratio may be better, but he also had more seasoned playmakers around him, too. Murray had a freshman tailback lining up behind him, and one of his top two receivers was a true freshman. I give credit to Wilson for making fewer mistakes, but I still think Murray is a more dynamic playmaker at the position than Wilson is.

Franklin at Mizzou is a beast. A true threat, he can run as good as a back in the line up, and can throw on the run out of the pocket. Like a Timex, can take a lickin and keep on tickin. A possible Heisman contender.
I know that Sumlin recruited Showers hard for the Houston Couger Program because he has hellava arm, and he was Run&Gun QB in High School. He is from the same High School District program that has turned out Baylor Sr. RGIII (CopperasCove) and current Texas Soph. QB David Ash(Belton). I know Showers is a big tough kid but aTm has some other QB's that could rise up.
I want to see Matt Joeckel who was a redshirt freshman step up. This kid is from a football family and he is 6'4 235 lbs. and threw for over 3k yards and 40 TD's with only 6 picks in high school. He was highly recruited but has been forgotten by alot of people.
I am waiting on the spring games and pre-season to see what happens.

Smith will just be holding down the fort while we redshirt Towles this year until he can take over in Couch-like fashion.

"Johnny, we're going to kick your ass today." -UK Coach Fran Curci to UT Coach Johnny Majors before Curci's last game.
Final score....UK 21 - UT 10

I think theyre both really close. You could have 10 ppl make this list and they'd have Wilson and Mirray 1 and 2, and you flip flop them and it really wouldnt mean that much...it's as close as it gets in ability.
And secondly, Jordan Rodgers won't be the starter of this team in 2012, you heard it first here.

I certainly hope he is
Edit: I would have put Shaw over Bray. Bray is going to have a really good receiving corps to throw to this year, but every time I watched USC play, Shaw was somehow making something happen whether with his arm or legs.
Plus, Bray has mad backne yo...automatically docks you a couple spots on the list

The main argument for me to put Murray over Wilson is this:
Murray's top 4 WRs in 2011: Tavarres King, Michael Bennett, Marlon Brown and Malcolm Mitchell
Wilson's top 4 WRs in 2011: Jarius Wright, Joe Adams, Greg Childs and Cobi Hamilton
That being said, I still have Wilson #1.

No arguement from me. I think Murray is an excellent QB but he is not as consistent as he could be. INT's are a concern as well. Fingers crossed for him to have a great year. No shame at all in the #2 QB in the best conference in college football.
