Opening Statement<br/>"I think we were guarding the ball better and doing better on the defensive end. We were plus-11 at the half so if we're able to do those things, rebound and defend, we're going to have some special things happen."
On Phil's jump shots...<br/>"We run a lot of ball screens in our offense, and when he's making shots like that it makes him very difficult to defend. If you run ball screens on him, he can knock it down and he's got great rhythm right now as well as Mike Dixon."
On Mike Dixon playing at the next level...<br/>"I will say he's playing at a high level right now and we sense it and he senses it and when he gets in a game he plays with great confidence."
On Mizzou's defense...<br/>"They run a lot of set plays and I think we did a really good job of running them out of their offense and they started to go a little bit more one on one. We did a really good job not letting them start entering and get in their offense and it all started with our guards, they did a really nice job with that."
On how the team has been practicing...<br/>"Sometimes you don't know based on practice. Our practice has been very good, it's been solid. The guys talk about prep work and I think we've had great attention to detail and our guys are asking questions. When we're watching film and they're interjecting, that's when you know you've got their attention. I felt that this week we had really great attention."
On going back to Texas A&M after coaching there...<br/>"Texas A&M are playing a lot better, and will be in full force. I know their coach very well and I know that they will play great defense, they'll play physical. We played well here but I know when we go there, they're going to attack us in the paint, so we're going to have to defend the paint against them."
On learning from their losses...<br/>"I think the two losses we've had have been great learning experiences. In the Oklahoma State game, we had a game where we took control of the game with six minutes left and we didn't finish the game. Our offense execution wasn't good, our defense wasn't good and I think we learned from that. If you look at the games after that one we had some late game opportunities and we played very well late in the games in terms of executing, in terms of free throw shooters, keeping the ball in bounds."

On him being more impressed with offense or defense...<br/>"Definitely on the defense earlier. Halftime we were really upset with how we defended but we had growth. We grew. We worked really hard this week, diligently and we came out victorious."
On if the team viewed the game as revenge...<br/>"No, just business. It was a game we needed to win because it was the next game on our schedule but we definitely remembered how we did perform in Stillwater. We give them credit. I mean they executed. They won that game but we rose from that loss."
On the team's growth...<br/>"We came out early and really got stops midway through the first half and we executed and played really well out of transition. The extra passes were really good but the growth we got from that game was late game execution and getting stops and running offense. I think against Texas Tech it wasn't a blowout so we definitely showed growth since then. "
On the production off the bench...<br/>"It's really valuable. Mike comes in ready every night and does a really good job when he gets in."
On the senior class's wins record... "Well, it means we won a fair amount of games. But again, those are product goals and we're stuck in the process. You're going to get some accolades along the way if you're really getting better every single day and so I guess that's a testament of us and our preparation every week."

On the team's perimeter defense...<br/>"That's what we focus on every game. We take pride in our defense and that's what we try to take game in and game out. I think we did a pretty good job."
On his hot play as of late...<br/>"It's just a rhythm and we all take it as a team as well as me. its shots I've been taking in practice and just fortunate enough to make."
On the current two-team race in the conference...<br/>"We only worry about what we're going to do. We can't control anything that anybody else does and we got Texas A&M on Saturday, so that's what we're going to get ready for." <br clear="left"/>
