Junior day went amazing. Got commitments from

4* WR Daylon Charlot
4* OG/T Lester Cotton

5*'s Daron Payne and Minkah Fitzpatrick  had great visits, feel extremely good about our chances with them. 4* TE Will Gragg and Leo Lewis had a good time.

The hoover trio Darrell Williams,Christian Bell,Bradrick Shaw earned offers along with Pinson RB Nick Gibson and LA RB Derrius Guice . Kengera Daniel,Marquel Harrell,Kaleb Kim and LaMichael Pettway earned offers also.

I just loved the pics! Can you imagine how it must feel to be a HS kid and be assaulted with the Alabama Football facilities? it would be mind-boggling.

Bama also offered Jarrett Stidham ,QB out of Texas earlier this week and it sounds like he might be our staffs top target at QB for this class. Kid is the real deal

Baylor/Texas Tech battle before we offered. A&M fans think he's heading to play for Art Briles. He said he was speechless when he got the Bama offer though

Last years class (with 1 more commitment) is ahead of this one by a tad point wise on Rivals and the 247 sports composite. 1 more commitment should make this the best one on paper. I like this years a good bit more though.

The 2008 class with Julio and Ingram was the best.  It'd be hard to duplicate that.  Too many of them panned out.  How many are in the NFL now - A Posted Image load.

The top end of this class looks way better than last year. I think A'Shawn Robinson and Jonathan Allen will be good players, but guys like Robinson, Humphrey, Hand and Scarborough are just freaks.

I won't talk about the other 5 star.

Got a JUCO TE last night Ty Flournoy-Smith.  He played 2012 for Georgia.

http://www.al.com/sp...ent_from_5.html

I think NS likes to spend Scolarships on JUCO guys cause you only commit a scolarship for 2 years rather than 4 and that allows you to sign more players every year.  When you get a top ranked JUCO usually you get really good athlete and one that you're going to play right away.  If you plan to bench a guy that you're only going to have for 2 years it is pretty much a waste of a scholly on a 1 year gamble.  Coaches just don't do it.
