Pruitt to UGA is huge for us with Marlon Humphrey. He coached at Hoover and had a real good relationship with him and his family.

I just hope he doesn't fall in love with Athens now, time is on our side but you never know. Closer to home than Tallahassee.

"I asked him 'Does this change anything for you?' and he told me 'No' and that it does not," Bobby Humphrey said. "He's still going to Florida State for his official visit on Friday."

Maybe it is a good sign, but I think Humphrey's interest in FSU may be legit.  Humphrey, Elam and Evans.  I would love to pull these guys.  I think they have a good shot with Humphrey, but getting either of the others will be difficult.  We are in the mix for them though and getting one would be huge.

Ive been thinking for 9 months that Marlon wasn't coming to Bama.............for some reason Ive been thinking the Humphrey's might be a little miffed at the Tide for not even offering Madareous (can't remember the actual name), his brother that signed with Arky, got in trouble and is now with UAB

What I was thinking about Humphrey is that he may simply want to be "different" than his father and deliberately choose another school. Like you, I never really expected to see him on the field at Alabama.

Guess he didn't like the fact Coker was here in town.
"Whenever I see those crimson jerseys and crimson helmets, I feel humbled to have played football for Alabama. Other players in the NFL talk to me about their schools and their traditions. I just smile knowing the immense love Alabama fans have for our school and its football program. I'm proud to be a part of that Crimson Tide heritage."

I used to just laugh at some of the things zartan said, but now I am honestly starting to feel sorry for him. I'd hate it if all I thought about was USC, Notre Dame, or oklahoma....

This thread is mighty quiet as close as we are to NSD.  I don't think that we have any room for *good* signing day surprises.  I think Elam is set to announce tomorrow.  Fingers crossed.

Elam, Evans, and Dupre are really our last targets right?

Yeah that's about it, Playmaker. Really happy over Humphrey, locked up the #1 class essentially.

Town decommitted due to a number of reasons. He was close to coach Nuss and USC made a familiar hire with him in Sarkisian. Also Saban was recruiting Coker who is likely a starter or two years, while also scouting another QB for the 2015 class. The witting was on the wall for months, for both sides.

Can you imagine how good Alabama's recruiting class would be if the tide had actually won the iron bowl?
