I really can't even have a legitimate discussion with you if you don't know anything about the subject.
He stared down his first option almost every single time in the Sugar Bowl, but that was barely problematic the rest of the year.

If you had any knowledge about this team at all, you would know that OL and WRs have been a major problem for us in recent years.
Driskel is perfectly serviceable for what we want to do as a program.

Ive watched Driskell plenty.  Enough to see that his accuracy rushed or not is mediocre at best. His lack of passing attempts make his stats look decent.  But put him in a game where he has to throw it 30 times. The stats will show that he struggles when he "has" to throw the ball.  Its pretty much common knowledge that with Gilly running as effectively as he did, UF easily goes 8-4 this season.

2012: #5 Georgia Bulldogs Overall (12-2) SEC (7-1)

We went 11-2?
I don't know what you are trying to say.
If your point is that Driskel sucks, fine. Think what you want.
It's obvious that you are making that assumption based on his last performance, which was in fact, Terrible. With a capital T.

We are not ever supposed to be in a game where he will have to pass 30 times.
If we are, he will probably do poorly.

Im stating that UF's success this year was based on great defense and Gillislee carrying the offense on his back. If UF would have been put into a position where they "had" to throw to win the game (UGA, UL) it wouldnt have turned out well. UF's success this season had little to do with Driskell's play was my point.

If you would have said that to make your point instead of variations of "Driskel sucks", we wouldn't even be having this discussion haha.

There's often a whole lot more to winning games than great passing stats, like not making mistakes such as completing passes to the other team. He managed games well, wasn't asked to win them, and didn't make too many mistakes.

Let's not forget that he also ran for 413 yards, 4 TD's, and who knows how many game-saving or comeback-enabling 1st downs. He actually ran for 716, but of course, unlike the NFL, where sacks count against team passing yardage, sacks count against a QB's rushing stats in college... and as was pointed out earlier, Driskel got sacked a lot.

In fact, Florida gave up the most sacks for the most yardage in the SEC this year; so if we can manage to get the necessary OL help, maybe we can get a better idea of his true potential next season.

You could be right, it could just be the players around him.  Personally im not sold on his passing game but hes still young, no telling how he will handle the offseason

Just saw you picked up Anzalone from ND

And Rainey got arrested for Battery. Lol

Yep, Alex Anzalone surprised everyone I guess by enrolling at Florida today.
Good thing we kept recruiting him even after he committed to Notre Dame way back when.
I like him a lot.

We had him in the fold once before too; but if he enrolled and made class I guess he's ours for keeps.

I don't think the ND players feel very comfortable all of a sudden with Kelly setting up NFL interviews before a NCG, and then going on them after it.

He may just be vying for a raise from ND; but that still gives the recruits the jitters.

Yea coaching changes dont usually go well unless its a big name coach going from A to B.  Except for Auburn. No idea how the hell they keep getting good recruits. Haha

This thread needs to get back on track.  DT Jerran Reed is visiting Florida this weekend.  We have a great chance at him.

Well, he's an Ole Miss commit right now. Also UK just hired his DL coach from his JUCO and they have an OV set up with him, so they may be a player as well.

I'd love it if he was impressed enough with UF this weekend to snap up an offer and cancel his other OV's, but I doubt it turns out like that.

One thing is for sure, we've only got about 3 spots left, so if guys want them, they better jump on the train quick. We got an extra one we didn't even expect with Anzalone (he was already scheduled to enroll at ND next week); so it just goes to show, you never know what's going to happen in recruiting, and spots evaporate quickly.
