Speculation that we could end up with 3 or 4 more commitments today. That is strictly based on what I have read on twitter from guys like Derek Tyson so let's hope that holds true. It would be nice to get some early momentum after the NSD disappointment we experienced.

WR Rodney Adams just committed per Derek Tyson. Also has offers from FSU, Miami, and Oklahoma based on what I saw on 247. Looks like a 4* across the board so a good pickup for the Gators at a major position of need!

Story on Adams-I LOVED the parts I bolded. We need receivers bad so I'm glad he is expecting 4 or 5 and he wants to enroll early. Shows he does

GAINESVILLE, Fla -- The Florida Gators received a verbal commitment from wide receiver Rodney Adams (St. Petersberg, Fla./Lakewood) on Saturday.

The 6-foot-1, 173-pound athlete chose Florida over USF, FSU, Oklahoma and Vanderbilt. Adams said the family atmosphere is what won him over on the Florida program.

"I committed to Florida," Adams said. "It just feels like a family down there, I love the people there. I fit in to the offense, and I love the coaches. It just feels like home there."

Adam's teammate last season Dante Fowler Jr., made a surprising switch on signing day when he signed with Florida after being committed to Florida State for more than a year. Adams said that helped solidify his decision, but his mind was made up before Fowler switched.

"It does help, because now I have someone there with me from my hometown," Adams said. "I kind of chose Florida before he did, but it is great that he went there also."

Florida offensive coordinator Brent Pease offered Adams a week before national signing day. For Adams, it was his first time meeting the new offensive play-caller.

"From what I know, he's a great coach. He gets guys in the NFL," he said. "He spreads the ball around, and he's a great person. He told me I would be a deep threat down the field. He said they want to use my speed to get open down the field and create plays. He said I will have a big role in the offense."

Adams said he expects Florida to take four or five receivers in this class, but said he is confident in his abilities and the competition won't bother him.

"I'm confident in what I can do," he said. "My best attributes as a player are my speed, my hands and my cut moves."

Adams currently holds a 3.0 GPA and will try and enroll early at Florida. As a junior, Adams claims he had 25 receptions for over 800 yards.

Off to the races... great start for 2013, and you've gotta love those legacies. We need some major players on offense in this next class, and it sounds like most of the prospects like Pease.
