Jeremy Liggins failed to meet qualifying ACT score, doesn't appear as if he'll make it in for January enrollment. He could try several more times to make it in for Summer. It's unclear if we'll sign him due to the risk of him not making the score leaving us with a wasted slot. Worst case scenario is the staff places him at NWCC or EMCC

Chris Jones has officially been offered and an official visit likely to happen on the biggest recruiting weekend. (January 25th)

His HS coaches could only keep him sheltered for so long..

Mr. Jones' decision will be all about timing.
As of now, he is Starkville bound.

The key will be what happens to the DC for State, Chris Wilson, who is, if I'm not mistaken, leading the recruiting charge for Jones. He is who has sold State to Jones.

Thing is, Chris Wilson appears to be on the way out. LB Geoff Collins called the D for State in the Gator Bowl, and Mullen appears to be ready to tell him (Wilson) to gtfo any day now.

If that happens, we could possibly sway him. If Wilson is fired, I'd have to guess that Mullen himself will make a pitch to Jones face-to-face to try to retain or solidify his commitment.

Bingo... It's a longshot but i'd love for him to be a Rebel.

His HS coaches did a good job of keeping him hidden, a lot of people and some Houston, MS natives say that his film was only sent to State and nowhere else. thus them being his only offer up until the all-star events.

I won't hold my breath but atleast the staff is trying... Maybe the lack of exposure and exploring other options help the cause in the end.

Well, what I posted 3 days ago has come true.

Think it's about a 40/60 chance he signs with us now.

If he were to change his commitment, I'm not sure @ could contain his excitement at adding another player to the all-whiff team. :trollface:

Not sure which one, but either Lawson or Mr. Jones will def ink with us.

More I think about it I think CJ stays at DE because we honestly couldn't afford to do that depth wise. CJ, Whigham, and Ward will be the only experience returning. assuming Carlos Thompson gets moved to TE.. Shack is a beast.

I think Cody Prewitt stays at Strong Safety, some on the Rivals boards are dead set on he is moving to LB because Wommack mentioned the possibilty of it before the season started before he started playing good football.
