Was there really a need to quote the entire post??

As for you Vandy predictions...I don't understand how you have UK beating us but whatevs. I say we go 7-5(3-5) this year with sec wins over ole miss, uk, and UT.

Didn't even look at your post vandyfan84 and I have Vandy a solid 7-5 and maybe 8-4....Vandy for sure 7-5 and another bowl :)...UT is a win for sure in Nashville on Nov 17th..all Vandy fans and players and coaches have that date marked !!!

Say what ya want about Ole Miss. Truth is we had more talent than coaching. Do I know what Ole Miss will do next year? nope. Could go 0-12 for all I know but what I do know is our coach's contract gives him $100,000 for every sec victory. Sounds like y'all got a bounty on your head to me. :lick:

Yeah, I think Ole Miss will be better than Vanderbilt this season.

when it comes to georgia, youre right, lol.  im actually surprised hnb gave his team a loss, lol.

I don't see us losing three conference games next year.  LSU and Bama are the only ones I think we possibly drop.  Auburn is still at least a year, and a competent qb, away from competing

good luck with carolina, but at home, im doubting that that streak will be continued...im just saying, lol...

that said, heres how i think georgia's season goes:

9/1 - Buffalo  W 1-0 (0-0 SEC)

9/8 - @ Missouri  L 1-1 (0-1 SEC)  georgia has a history of starting slow, and i think the trend will continue for this game.  missouri is a decent team, and being early in the season they wont have had to deal with depth issues yet.

9/15 - Florida Atlanta  W 2-1 (0-1 SEC)

9/22 - Vanderbilt  W 3-1 (1-1 SEC)  im looking for improvement in year two for franklin.  i think this will be a very good, very close, hard fought game with georgia coming away with the win.

9/29 - Tennessee  W 4-1 (2-1 SEC) while both bray and hunter return, this team just doesnt have the depth to compete down the stretch...yet.

10/6 - @ South Carolina  L 4-2 (2-2 SEC)  sorry dog fans, but this ones at home, and while the score has been close for many years straight, we still come away with the win.  our depth is better overall, and we simply dont lose the key pieces that you do (those key pieces do not have experienced depth behind them as we do)

10/13 - BYE

10/20 - @ Kentucky  W 5-2 (3-2 SEC)

10/27 - Florida (Jacksonville)  W 6-2 (4-2 SEC) while georgia escaped this one last season with a win, and while florida still has a ton of talent, i think georgia legitimitely wins this one this year.

11/3 - Ole Miss  W 7-2 (5-2 SEC)

11/10 - @ Auburn  L 7-3 (5-3 SEC) auburn should be better this season and seemed to improve as the season progressed, while geogia ended with two losses.  i just dont see the dogs coming away with a win in this one.

11/17 - Georgia Southern  W 8-3 (5-3 SEC)

11/24 - Georgia Tech  W 9-3 (5-3 SEC)

with three losses, i just dont see you returning to the title game.  that said, that doesnt mean i think carolina is going to have an easy saeon by any stretch of the imagination.  outside of the lsu and arkansas games, i say we go at least 10-2 because while we do have a tougher schedule, our home vs. away games are pretty favorable.  personally, i see us going 11-1, with the loss coming against lsu, but who knows...

Nicely done HNB. That opener against Michigan in Jerryworld is gonna be awesome. I think I'm gonna try to get tickets.
I was not impressed with Jerryworld.  A bit over the top for a college football atmosphere.  I went to an A&M/Arkansas game there and I didn't care much for it.  IMO.....you gotta have that college football atmosphere to enjoy a college football game.  It wasn't there.

Oh and the parking fee's are freaking insane!  You'll have to give up your first born, take out a second mortgage, and sell your soul to the devil to park within 5 miles of the stadium.

Did he just mention depth several times as a reason SC would win?

I thought we'd be 9-3 in 2011.Some teams I thought would step up didn't.

So I'm calling it 9-3 again and maybe we'll win em all.

Here's my prediction for the Gamecocks:

at Vandy W
ECU W
UAB W
Mizzou W
at Kentucky - W
Georgia - W, possible loss
at LSU - L, possible upset win
at Florida - W
Tennessee - W
Arkansas - W, possible loss
Wofford - W
at Clemson -W

I predict us going 11-1 with the sole loss in Death Valley. At best, we go 12-0 on the regular season, at worst, 9-3.  I think we make it a good game for the SECC, but injuries throughout the season will affect us more than they will LSU/Bama, and we lose the SECCG. We win the East title for the past 2/3 seasons and hopefully get to a BCS bowl.

We should at least split the UGA and Arky games to go 10-2. I'd rather beat UGA because we will need the head-to-head.

UGA - USC is becoming a bigger rivalry because they have battled for the East in the past two seasons. In 2010, USC stepped up to win the East with a 5-3 record while the Dawgs were having a down year. In 2011, USC swept the division, but losses to Auburn and Arky cost them a trip to Atlanta. In 2012, UGA and USC are hands-down front-runners for the SEC East. Bring it on, Dawgs.
