It's never too early, right? At least now we know who is going pro and who is staying. So let's take a stab at this.
The West
Alabama
Notable losses: Trent Richardson, Dre Kirkpatrick, Donta Hightower, Maquis Maze, Courtney Upshaw, Will Vlachos, Mark Barron
2011 result: 12-1, BCS National Champions
2012 outlook: The Crimson Tide does not lack for depth; extremely strong recruiting in recent seasons has taken care of that. However, the Tide will lose quite a few playmakers they'll have to replace this season, and while the talent is there, it will remain to be seen how quickly the new guys can step in and reach the level of play that we saw out of the '11 squad.
Schedule
9/1 - Michigan (at Jerryworld)
9/8 - Western Kentucky
9/15 - @ Arkansas
9/22 - Florida Atlantic
9/29 - Ole Miss
10/6 - BYE
10/13 - @ Missouri
10/20 - @ Tennessee
10/27 - Mississippi State
11/3 - @ LSU
11/10 - Texas A&M
11/17 - Western Carolina
11/24 - Auburn
Prediction: 10-2 (6-2)
Arkansas
Notable losses: Greg Childs, Jarius Wright, Joe Adams, Jake Bequette
2011result: 11-2
2012 outlook: The good news is that the hogs will return one of the best QB/RB tandems in the conference with both Tyler Wilson and Knile Davis returning. The bad news is that they lose a lot in their receiving corps. The Hogs
will need some young guys to step up in the passing game if they want this to be the year.
Schedule:
9/1 - Jacksonville State
9/8 - Louisiana-Monroe
9/15 - Alabama
9/22 - TBD (either open date or non-conf. game))
9/29 - Texas A&M (location TBD)
10/6 - @ Auburn
10/13 - Kentucky
10/20 - TBD (either open date or non-conf. game)
10/27 - Ole Miss
11/3 - Tulsa
11/10 - @ South Carolina
11/17 - @ Miss. State
11/24 - LSU
Prediction: 9-3 (5-3)
Auburn
Notable losses: Brandon Moseley, Michael Dyer
2011 result: 8-5 (4-4)
2012 outlook: The Tigers did a very good job of dealing with an incredible number of losses from their 2010 team and turned up a respectable outcome with a very young team. They'll return most everyone, save for leading rusher Mike Dyer who is transferring. The big question mark will be who the Aubies find for their OC, and how that transition works post-Malzahn.
Schedule:
9/1 - Clemson
9/8 - @ Miss. State
9/15 - TBA (bye week or non-conf. cupcake)
9/22 - LSU
9/29 - TBA (bye week or non-conf. cupcake)
10/6 - Arkansas
10/13 - @ Ole Miss
10/20 - @ Vanderbilt
10/27 - Texas A&M
11/3 - TBA (bye week or non-conf. cupcake)
11/10 - Georgia
11/17 - Alabama A&M
11/24 - @ Alabama
Prediction: 9-3 (5-3)
LSU
Notable losses: Jarrett Lee, Jordan Jefferson, Greg Shaw, Will Blackwell, Morris Claiborne, Reuben Randle, Russell Shephard
2011 result: 13-1, SEC Champions (lost MNC game to Alabama)
2012 outlook: LSU should return the power running game that made them effective in 2011, the question mark will be the passing game with Zach Mettenberger the likely candidate to take over as signal caller, and the Tigers needing to replace their leading receiver in Randle. This team still has lots of talent though, and a VERY favorable schedule.
Schedule:
9/1 - North Texas
9/8 - Washington
9/15 - Idaho
9/22 - @ Auburn
9/29 - Towson (really?)
10/6 - @ Florida

Ole Miss
Notable losses: Kentrell Lockett, Bradley Sowell, Enrique Davis
2011 result: 2-10 (0-8)
2012 outlook: cloudy with a chance of rain. New HC Hugh Freeze has his work cut out for him. This team was winless in conference play last year, and 2012 won't be getting any easier for them.
Schedule
9/1 - Central Arkansas
9/8 - UTEP
9/15 - Texas
9/22 - @ Tulane
9/29 - @ Alabama
10/6 - Texas A&M

10/27 - @ Arkansas
11/3 - @ Georgia
11/10 - Vanderbilt
11/17 - @ LSU
11/24 - Miss. State
Prediction: 3-9 (0-8)
Mississippi State
Notable losses: Vick Ballard, Quentin Saulsberry, Sean Ferguson, Fletcher Cox
2011 result: 7-6 (2-6)
2012 outlook: The 2nd year of Dan Mullen's tenure failed to live up to the promise of 2010, and the loss of Vick Ballard certainly won't be an easy one to overcome. The schedule didn't do them any favors last year though, and this year is a bit more manageable.
Schedule
9/1 - Jacksonville State
9/8 - Auburn
9/15 - Troy
9/22 - South Alabama
9/29 - BYE

Prediction: 6-6 (2-6)
Texas A&M
Notable losses: Ryan Tannehill, Cyrus Gray
2011 result: 7-6 (4-5 Big 12)
2012 outlook: The Aggies are excited about their move to the SEC, but with a new coaching staff coming in and losing their leading rusher and starting QB, their excitement could be tempered by what may be a tough first season.
Schedule

9/15 - SMU (Dallas)
9/22 - TBD (Bye or non-conf. cupcake)

Prediction: 5-7 (1-7)
The East
Florida
Notable losses: John Brantley, Chris Rainey, Jeff Demps, Dan Wenger, William Green
2011 result: 7-6 (3-5)
2012 outlook: The Gators are off a disappointing season and will be getting used to a new OC in 2012. They'll be staring a new signal-caller and looking for a guy that can tote the rock. The talent is there, but not much experience in key positions.
Schedule
9/1 - Bowling Green
9/8 - @ Texas A&M
9/15 - @ Tennessee
9/22 - Kentucky
9/29 - BYE
10/6 - LSU

Georgia
Notable losses: Brandon Boykin, Ben Jones, Cordy Glenn, DeAngelo Tyson, Orson Charles
2011 result: 10-4 (7-1), SEC East champions (lost to LSU in SECCG)
2012 outlook: Georgia has high hopes for this season, but to do so they will have to learn to finish games. They return virtually the entire defense, but the offensive line play will be key, as mostly underclassmen will be starting on the line. The schedule is favorable, but the Dawgs can't overlook anyone.
Schedule

11/24 - Tennessee
Prediction: 4-8 (1-7)
Missouri
2011 result: 8-5 (5-4 Big 12)
2012 outlook: Mizzou is probably better prepared to take on their inaugural SEC schedule than is their ex-Big 12 counterpart TAMU, as Mizzou returns both their starter at QB and their leading rusher. Still, it will be an adjustment.
Schedule

Notable losses: Austin Johnson, Tauren Poole,
2011 result: 5-7 (1-7)

I think Miss. State will end up better than 6-6 b(they might actually start out 7-0 on the season, in fact) ...outside of that, they look reasonable, but it's still too early for me to realistically break down next season. Still on cloud nine from the BCSNCG.

Good job, but I will bet you now that 50% of those predictions prove to be wrong. Teams just never seem to end up like you think. There is always a few teams that win games that they are not supposed to.
I edited your post. No need to quote all that-jacobp

Nicely done HNB. That opener against Michigan in Jerryworld is gonna be awesome. I think I'm gonna try to get tickets.

Pretty good predictions but there are always teams that end up winning games they aren't supposed to, as well as teams that end up being flops (ex. 2011 #8 preseason-ranked Texas A&M) LSU is probably going to be the most talked about team next year, again.

Was there really a need to quote the entire post??
As for you Vandy predictions...I don't understand how you have UK beating us but whatevs. I say we go 7-5(3-5) this year with sec wins over ole miss, uk, and UT.

Of course there are sure to be surprises, but it's fun to speculate regardless.

I don't see us losing three conference games next year. LSU and Bama are the only ones I think we possibly drop. Auburn is still at least a year, and a competent qb, away from competing

Flip Arkansas and LSU's records and you have it.

I was tempted to predict y'all as division winners, and y'all are definitely my darkhorse, I'm just skeptical of the passing game with who you're losing. I think you beat Alabama at home, the losses I actually had in mind were LSU, at Auburn and South Carolina, but I can just as easily see you going 11-1 and winning the division.
