Tuscaloosa, Ala. - Today's featured baseball signees for the 2012 Alabama baseball recruiting class are right-handed pitcher Keaton Haack and infielder Kyle Overstreet.

Keaton Haack<br/>6-5, 205, RHP<br/>Oak Ridge, N.C. (Northwest Guilford HS)

Assistant Coach Andy Phillips on Keaton Haack:<br/>"Keaton is a big, tall, right-hander with a good arm and has the potential to be a power pitcher. He's a very athletic kid who is really filling into his body. He competes hard, has a great makeup and another guy who can come in and have an impact from the get-go."

Ranked as the No. 11 prospect in North Carolina and No. 344 nationally by Perfect Game USA ... in 2011, the right-handed pitcher posted a 7-2 record and 1.58 ERA with 95 strikeouts in 57.1 innings, helping Northwest Guilford High School (19-10) win the Piedmont-Triad 4-A Conference tournament ... posted five shutouts during his junior season ... was named the Most Valuable Pitcher for Northwest Guilford HS ... 2011 Perfect Game USA Third Team Preseason HS Underclassmen All-American ... was an all-area selection in both baseball and basketball ... helped his club team "the Dirtbags" win the WWBA World Championship in 2010 ... averaged 10.5 points and 8.2 rebounds per game on the basketball court as a junior to earn all-conference accolades ... high school baseball head coach is Sonny Gann.

Kyle Overstreet<br/>6-0, 195, Infielder<br/>Boaz, Ala. (Boaz HS)

Assistant Coach Andy Phillips on Kyle Overstreet:<br/>"Kyle Overstreet can hit, he can just flat out hit. He's a player that has shown he can play several positions, probably more of a second base type guy, but a guy that can make an immediate impact offensively."

Ranked as the No. 7 prospect (top prospect at second base) in Alabama and No. 183 nationally by Perfect Game USA ... named to the 2012 Alabama Top-100 players list ... participated in the 2011 National Showcase and the 2010 Junior National Showcase hosted by Perfect Game USA ... was a Class 5A First Team All-State selection at second base by the Alabama Sports Writers Association in 2011 ... named the Gadsden Times 2011 All-Area Baseball Player of the Year and was a First Team All-Area selection ... garnered Elite 12 First Team second baseman honors by the Huntsville Times in 2011 ... hit .571 with 11 home runs and 50 RBI in 36 games in 2011, and added 18 doubles with 55 runs scored ... set the Boaz HS single season record for home runs (11), batting average (.571) and on-base percentage (.669) as a junior ... also posted a 7-1 record on the mound with a 1.36 ERA with 64 strikeouts  in 42.0 innings pitched ... selected to the 2011 AHSAA North-South All-Start game ... 2011 Perfect Game USA Second Team Preseason HS Underclassmen All-American ... was the Gadsden Times first team second baseman following a sophomore season that included a .479 average with a school record 51 RBI ... garnered 2010 Perfect Game USA High Honorable Mention Preseason All-American honors ... named to the All-County Team as a freshman in 2009 ... his high school coach is Nick Dixon.
