OXFORD, Miss. – The Ole Miss baseball team announced the addition of a pair of right-handed pitchers to the most recent signing class with right-handers Brady Bramlett and Ty Hensley signing National Letters of Intent, head coach Mike Bianco announced on Wednesday.

The pair of pitchers joins previously announced signees Gavin Cecchini, Matt Denny, Zach Irwin, Chase Nyman, Stryker Trahan and Jacob Waguespack.

Bramlett comes to the Rebels from Arlington High School in Bartlett, Tennessee, where he helped lead the Tigers to a 33-6 record in 2011. The Tigers claimed the Region 7 Championship on the way to an appearance in the semifinals of the state playoffs and final ranking of seventh in the state regardless of classification.

The right-handed pitcher was named the Co-Player of the Year for District 14 Class 3A as he posted a 2-0 record with a 0.97 ERA with 85 strikeouts and only 13 walks in 50.1 innings of work.

Bramlett is ranked as one of the top 250 players in the nation according to PerfectGame.

“We’re really excited to have Brady as a part of our program,” said Ole Miss assistant coach and recruiting coordinator Carl Lafferty. “He’s a guy who really understands how to pitch. All he’s done in his high school career is win games. We expect that trend to continue at Ole Miss. He’s without a doubt one of the best right-handed pitchers in the country.”

Hensley signs with the Rebels out of Santa Fe High School in Edmond, Oklahoma, where he helped lead Santa Fe to a 42-7 record, and appearance in the state playoffs and a ranking of third in the state of Oklahoma.

The right-handed hurler was named an ESPN RISE All-America first team selection along with fellow signees Gavin Cecchini and Matt Denny, and is rated as the No. 37 prospect in the nation by PerfectGame. He was also named an Under Armour All-America selection and competed at the Under Armour All-America game and the Area Code Games.

As a junior, Hensley posted a 6-0 record with a 2.26 ERA and struck out 58 batters in 31.0 innings of work. He allowed only 17 walks in that time.

“Ty is a tremendously talented athlete both on the mound and at the plate,” Lafferty said. “On the mound he is a power arm with a very good breaking ball. Offensively, he’s a switch hitter with a tremendous amount of power. We look for him to make an impact immediately here at Ole Miss. He’s one of the top players in the country.”
