The SEC has won three National Titles in a row:
2011 -- South Carolina
2010 -- South Carolina
2009 -- LSU
In the last CWS, the SEC teams went undefeated against all other conferences
LSU is the greatest program in the conference, they have a brand-new ball park (completed 2-3 years ago) that is the largest stadium in college baseball. Also, LSU has finished #1 in total attendance for the last 14 years straight. They have the Most National Championships by far of any SEC team (most recent in 2009). They also lead the SEC in Most CWS Appearances (including 2 of the last 4 years), Most SEC Regular Season Champions (most recent in 2009), Most SEC Baseball Tournament Champions (they won three out of the last four), etc
South Carolina is 2nd in the SEC with most National Championships (2) and also 2nd in the SEC with most CWS appearances. They built themselves a brand new ball park recently and are among the top in the NCAA in regular attendance (#4 in the NCAA each of the last two years). They were SEC Regular Season Champs three times in the last 10 years: 2000, 2002, and 2011 and they went to the CWS five times in the last 10 years: 02, 03, 04, 10, 11. For 2012, they are projected to be one of the top 3 teams in the SEC
Arkansas is always up there among the top in the NCAA in regular attendance (#3 in the NCAA last year and #2 the year before that) and they have the nicest ballpark in the SEC. Arkansas last went to the CWS twice in the last 10 years: 2004 and 2009, they last won the SEC in 2004, and they've been to the NCAAT 10 times since 2000: 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09, 10, 11
Ole Miss is always up there among the top in the NCAA in regular attendance (#2 in the NCAA last year, #3 the year before that). They last won the SEC in 2009 and have been to the NCAAT nine times since 2000: 01, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09, 10
Mississppi State is always up there among the top in the NCAA in regular attendance (#6 in the NCAA the last two years straight). Their ballpark is great in that they pull up trailers to stand on behind the outfield. MSU last went to the CWS in 2007. They've been to the NCAAT eight times since 2000: 00, 01, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 11
Alabama was #12 in the NCAA in regular attendance last year, and #9 the year before that. They last won the SEC in 2006 and have been to the NCAAT nine times since 2000: 00, 02, 03, 05, 06, 08, 09, 10, 11
Florida was #13 in the NCAA in regular attendance for the last two years straight. They have won the SEC for the last two years in a row, and have gone to the CWS for the last two years in a row. For 2012, they are projected to be one of the top 3 teams in the SEC
Auburn was #23 and #21 in the NCAA in regular attendance over the last 2 years. They've gone to the NCAAT 6 times since 2000 (00, 01, 02, 03, 05, 10)
Vanderbilt was #27 and #28 in the NCAA in regular attendance over the last 2 years. They went to their first CWS in school history last year. They were garbage in the 80's, 90's and early 20's, but then Tim Corbin took over in 2003, and by 2004 and had brought them to their first NCAAT since 1980. That was the first of seven recent trips to the NCAAT for Vandy: 04, 06, 07, 08, 09, 10, 11. In 2007, they won their first SEC Title since 1980, and last year they won the SEC again. It's an impressive thing to watch what Corbin is doing over there, bring in a wealth of talent to a school with a crappy baseball stadium and a crappy baseball tradition. For 2012, they are projected to be one of the top 3 teams in the SEC
Georgia is the only team in the SEC to win a National Title besides LSU and South Carolina, and they did so in 1990. They were #25 and #30 in the NCAA in regular attendance over the last 2 years. They've been to the CWS four times since 2000: 01, 04, 06, 08. They've been to the NCAAT sevem times since 2000: 01, 02, 04, 06, 08, 09, 11. And they've won the SEC three times since 2000: 01, 04, 08
Tennessee was #38 and #40 in the NCAA in regular attendance over the last 2 years. They've been to the CWS twice since 2000: 01, 05 and they've been to the NCAAT 3 times since 2000: 01, 04, 05
Kentucky was #34 and #35 in the NCAA in regular attendance over the last 2 years. They won the SEC in 2006, and went to the NCAAT twice since 2000: 06, 08.

Letters just ended the thread. Yep we are the best. No doubt. Welcome Mizzou. You are going to need more than Scherzer and Crowe to beat us
But seriously, the addition of TAMU and Mizzou will just make the conference that much stronger on the diamond. Two great programs.
Missouri played in Oxford a couple years ago. Regional I think. Crowe was impressive. Where is that kid now?

Check out the top attendance records:
http://en.wikipedia....endance_records
15 of the Top 25 including the Top 9 all happened in Starkville. We take our baseball seriously and are recovering from a heavily decimated program.

Just like our football team our fairly successful 90s coach (Rod Delmonico) started to drive the program down until fired then his replacement (Todd Raleigh) finished destroying the program. We hired Dave Serrano from Cal State Fullerton over the summer.

Very good hire in my opinion.
Who is your new AD?
Hamilton is gone, right?

Hammy is gone. Serrano was actually hired in the interim by our women's AD. The new guy is Dave Hart who was the assistant AD at Bama (08-11) and before that the AD at FSU during their glory days (and also for a little bit of the NCAA sanction time before he resigned).

UGA has one of the least impressive stadiums in the SEC (soon to be renovated), but the atmosphere is one of the best of all, because of it's unique nature. There is a kudzu covered hill beyond the right field wall (known simply as the "kudzu hill"), and above it sit a few houses (part of a neighborhood behind the park) where every home game fans pack into the back yards, grilling and drinking, shouting into megaphones, and hanging memorable homemade signs over the fence. So beloved is the spectacle that the University has sought to find a way to renovate and expand the current stadium rather than build a new one, keeping ivy hill a part of Foley Field.
