The Raiders gave the Bengals 1 first round draft pick and a conditional 1st round pick for Carson Palmer. One person on ESPN called the trade a swindle in favor of the Bengals obviously, what do you guys think.

I think it's a great move for the Raiders.  Jason Campbell was hurt this weekend and probably won't be able to stand up to the beating he will take behind that OL for an entire season.  Palmer could find his mojo with the Raiders as so many others who have been deemed 'washed up' have done over the years.

I see it both ways.  Although they're giving up some picks, they are in need of a QB.  Can't fault the Raiders.

I'm shocked that Bengals ownership let Palmer go.  He said he wouldn't and is a stubborn old coot.  All he was doing was hurting his team....looks like he knew what he was doing after all.

I still hate the Bengals though.

I'm not sure if he's worth 2 first rounders, but the Raiders were desperate. Hopefully he can manage the offense and not beat us with turnovers. I hope he flourishes, but that may be too much to ask...

The Bengals just got 2 1st round picks for a player that isn't even on the team.  For the Raiders, it's a good move getting a QB but they gave up a little bit too much.  Palmer is kinda overrated, some major injury history, and is getting up there in age.  Why not just use one of those picks and draft one?  Then just find a cheaper way till then.
