Been pining for some new tunes lately. Keep catching myself listening to the same stuff on my ipod. Need some suggestions for downloads from my friends here. If it's come out this decade, you probably shouldn't bother making it a suggestion. Below is a sampling of my faves so you can better get an idea of what you're dealing with:
Linkin Park
Breaking Benjamin
Coldplay
Elton John
U2
Matchbox 20
Cold
Tool
Dave Matthews Band
Blink 182
Johnny Cash
John Mayer
REM
Chevelle
Also, been enjoying some older country lately. Preferably anything you know of from the 70's-early 90's (Vince Gill-ish if that makes sense).
Any help greatly appreciated and I'm certain it doesn't help that I'm jumping from genre to genre here. But, anything you can come up with I'd appreciate.

Don't know what type of music you're looking for. I'll give you a few suggestions... you can check them out and see for yourself.
Widespread Panic - download/listen to "Panic in the Streets"...... you'll thank me later.
Gov't Mule
Randy Rogers Band - some of my favorites for Texas Country
Clint Black was one of my favorites 80s/90s country
Robert Earl Keen - TX country
Chris Knight - TX country
Allman Brothers
Marshall Tucker Band
The Band
CCR
Pearl Jam - Eddie Vedder solo is awesome, too. Check out the songs "Hard Sun" and "Rise" from the "Into the Wild" soundtrack.
For some soothing, light instrumental stuff, check out Explosions In the Sky.
as you can tell, I don't listen to much of today's music.

I've got a suggestion for you... a little bit off the beaten path.
"Big Star" ... early 70's band. It's a crime that they didn't achieve more fame.
Great set of tunes here and influential on later bands like R.E.M.
Big Star - #1 Record/Radio City CD Album
