LSU trying to become the new "free shoes university?" That's got to be at least $4500 worth of footwear.

49 pairs of shoes is just ridiculous.  What in the hell do you do with them?  I thought you just needed a pair of tennis shoes, pair of boots, maybe some flip flops, and dress shoes.

I've got about six pairs of shoes - gym shoes, pair of sneakers for just wearing around, flip flops, casual brown loafers, black dress shoes and brown dress shoes. I understand if a guy has as many as, 10 pairs, at the most, but anything more than that is ridiculous. JJ had FORTY-NINE pairs. And I guarantee you at least 48 of them were sneakers.

They must be old.

I KNOW no boosters were buying him shoes to keep him around after the last couple of years.

Counting all of the shoes that I used to keep around I had about 25.  That's old ones that should have been thrown away, boots, bike shoes, cleats, steel toes, cowboy boots, hiking shoes etc.

I do know that there is a culture of people out there that collect tennis shoes.  They buy shoes like air jordans and keep them for a long time.

Then again it could be his home business.  He and Tom Albetar have a working relationship from what I'm told.

Agreed. I probably have around 25 pairs of shoes, and I wear them all semi regularly. I could use more.

Owning more than 10 pair of shoes does not pass the Mearl Haggard Man Test.

Alot of people like shoes. I like tennis shoes, alot of people do. Air Jordans and Air Force Ones, people collect them. 49 pairs is pretty crazy though.
