Roth is something else you just don't see 70-80mph that hard to hit. Cocks how was Bradley jr.s batting during the season? I only watched SC last four games he's a baller but he struggled with the bat almost like he lost confidence or something.
He was injured for the last half of the season and didn't play (surgery to repair ligament damage in his wrist from diving for a ball in CF).  He didn't play in the Regionals or Super Regionals, but was cleared to play in the CWS.  Tanner debated whether to play him, but decided his leadership and defensive skills were worth it.  So, his timing was way off from not being able to bat for the last half of the season.

On a side note, he still struggled with the bat some before the injury though.  I think he ended up with around a .250 BA for the season.

That explains alot he just looked like he had no confidence. He struck out on called strikes and lazy swing strike outs. I can see why a coach would play him anyway though he's a rover.

Yeah I feel it for Bradley because before missing the 26 games due to injury he was the same old JBJ getting hits and batting around .300 or a little over. But 26 games is a lot to miss and I know your timing has to be off without seeing live pitching for the past two months prior.

I just wanted to congratulate Coach Ray Tanner, Sonny Espisito, Chad Holbrook all our other assistants and trainers for putting together the peices to let this happen again. Thank you to all the members of the 2011 Univeristy of South Carolina baseball team for making it happen again, against all odds. And thanks and congratulations to Dude, GC_Fan, Skinny, USCRules, JD, Lacene, TrueGCFan, DieHard, Zee, 4-Ever, WayzUp, Cocky87, Deltor, Fox, Cockfan 720, Beeds, Hugh and Sean for being parts of Gamecock Nation along with me to enjoy the hell out of this.
Along with making school history last year and reacreating history again this year against a formidable SEC opponent, the only way I'd want it, we now hold the record for consecutive playoff wins and consecutive College World Series wins in NCAA baseball history. Matt Price also leading the nation this year in saves with this game. How sweet it is my friends.

Yeah, its great to be a Gamecock.

Can't forget one of the coolest parts.. We sent off Rosenblatt with a bang, and we started off TD Ameritrade with a bang! GO COCKS!

I'm back, :lanekiffin: ers.

i know Tanner had a lot of confidence in his ability but considering the way he was swinging the bat, looks like he would had batted him farther down the line up, not especially 9th like the first night but I don't see how he could bat him second knowing he was struggling.  That said, I think once his wrist heals he will do well on the professional level.

Kudos boys.  I hope we do our part and add a basketball championship to the SEC's coffers this year.

With the kids you have and the recruiting class coming in you should certainly be one of the top teams in the country. good luck with that.

And we'll keep the Football streak going, for the SEC of course.

quality stuff boys.
its an amazing feeling to be so confident in a team.
the first champ was great, but to follow it up really solidifies tanner and the teams accomplishments.
