Also it looks like one of our boys from the Men's National Team, Brek Shea, has been purchased by Stoke City. They are gonna bring him to England to test his fitness (he had foot surgery in August) and if everything checks out, they will go ahead with the deal.

Shea should have been in Europe a long time ago. His goal in Azteca was great.

DEMPSEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY with a late equalizer against United to get them a point after 1-1 draw.
United are now 5 points clear of City. City is officially back in the race. Chelsea is off in a distant 3rd 11 behinds behind.

Anyone here listen to the Men In Blazers podcast on Grantland? Its great. They also do a thing on Sirius XM Radio. They are absolutely hilarious. Today on Sirius they were basically chanting, "ClintU! ClintU! ClintU!". Absolutely love those guys.
Give them a listen if you get a chance. They are english but they are based in the U.S. and they like to talk about the English Premier League, MLS, the U.S. National teams, etc. and plus they do like to talk about other things too and its always in an entertaining way.

They are giving Shea a one week trial to evaluate his fitness which upon conclusion, they will decide whether or not they will go ahead with the proposed fee. So hopefully Shea has healed up nice and can experience the trials of the Barclays' Premier League.

Was this tongue in cheek? Can't tell through the computer screen
Regardlss, MLS players bought by other leagues are never that expensive considering how inferior our league is to theirs. Most likely the MLS is on par with either nPower League 1 or the Championship (or somewhere around there) at best.
Didn't expect a major transfer fee for him. Still it'll be nice to see one of our most talented players get some bigger and better opportunities to help his development.

It was a little of both. Yes our league is not the best, hey atleast it's not the A league. But it has shown to produce talent.

Also on a side note, Brek Shea DID NOT go to Stoke City. Looks like Shea just didn't want to go because it appeared both of the of clubs had agreed to a transfer fee and Shea decided not to go to England for his trial.
