I'm not joking. Ryan Mallett has an actual Speech impediment. Not talking about his style or anything. I'm talking about his medical problem.

Secondly, its not as much as Jacobp making a remark seeing as that it is completely unfounded, its more of, why are you making fun of a guy because of his speech impediment?

"st-st-st..." etc

I'm not sure about Mallett so I'll just take your word for it.  Arkansas fans hate Nutt and probably find it funny that Nutt is in this situation, moreso than the kid that has the actual problem.  Although, I can't speak for anyone but me.

May the bridges I burn light the way.

If he can get it done, more power to him.  But its well known that he has been unable to call plays in the huddle, audible, etc. on the field.

Either way, he's still under center for the QB Killa, and the results are somewhat predictable.

Nathan was constantly moving down the depth chart.  Mackey blew him away this spring and Brunetti is much better than Nathan as well.

this just in.

Laughing at people's medical conditions is now "cool".

Well...I wouldn't say "this just in"...it's been kinda cool for a while now.

Yeah. A UM alum I talk to who met Mallett once in Ann Arbor years ago found out he had a speech impediment and it just made it sound worse that he was speaking "gangster" as he called it. At first he thought the guy was dumb, but after talking to him, realized he actually had a speech impediment.

Now I'm all for poking fun at Mallett for his choices (acting black when he is not / speaking ebonics), but I have never and would never poke fun at something they can't control, like a medical condition. And those who would do so themselves are in fact weak and classless.

Looks like Nathan might have got his scholly  Forrest Gump style "is there a Mr. Stanley, Misses Stanley?"

May the bridges I burn light the way.

I never claimed to have class.  It is just a joke on the internet though.  Lighten up.

I read that Stanley could bearly keep up with Mackey.  Not sure about Bearnetti.

Actually that was more of an issue pre-spring. And he was never known to be completely "unable" to call plays and what not. He has been working extensively with a speech therapist to rectify this.

Please impart more wisdom about the inner workings of Ole Miss football on me.

You had us penciled in last year, too?  Does your pencil have an eraser?

Nope, but it does have blood on it from where I stabbed myself in the eye watching us lose a game we should have won.
